DUSTIN GAWRYLOW: SENATOR DORGAN’S HIGHER TAXES RETIREMENT GIFT TO NORTH DAKOTA

Dorgan Says North Dakotan's Want Higher Taxes

The Bush tax cuts that were enacted in 2001 are scheduled to expire at the end of this year. Dorgan argues the tax cuts were responsible for reducing the budget surplus of the 1990s to record level deficits now.
[...]
"I think people in my state and around the country want this deficit tamed," he said. "We aren't going to tame the deficit by continuing tax cuts that were supposed to be for returning surpluses; there are no surpluses."

US House minority leader John Boehner has proven once again that he is unworthy of his position, backing down from conservative demands to extend the Bush tax cuts. He now exemplifies the reason we are in this economic mess…our Republican leaders are neither conservative nor do they have a backbone. He was elected Minority leader when the liberals (both Democrats and some Republi-crats) took control in 2006 and it’s now time for him to be removed from that position when the Democrats lose control on November 2nd! My choice for the next Speaker of the House is 33 year old Californian (Dist 52) Duncan Hunter. We need a new generation of leaders to lead our country out of his mess. We need reformers to ignore the “Senility System” and invite the states to ignore unconstitutional federal mandates!
