BRENT MCCARTHY: YES YOU CAN - STAND FOR FREEDOM!

In high school, I was living on my own. Thankfully there were wealthy individuals who provided me with jobs throughout high school and college since the poor just were not hiring. These jobs were not careers, but rather stepping stones towards self-sufficiency. In the Marxist “utopia” that President Obama and the Socialist Democratic Party envision, everyone will be poor except for a few corrupt politicians, the political elite, and their families. These so-called “evil” wealthy people who provide these stepping stones today will not be there tomorrow if the socialists get their way.

The Ten Commandments say “thou shall not steal”. Many priests and pastors publically support Marxist principles including socialized medicine. They believe that stealing is a sin if we do it ourselves, but ordained by God if we have a need and someone else (like government) steals on our behalf. It’s doubtful these hypocrites support repealing their own exemption from Social Security and Medicare payroll taxes or their Church’s tax exempt status like I do. If more of my hard earned money in the hands of government would help the so-called “poor”, then so would more of theirs. The most frightening aspect to all of this is that they are telling people to ignore world history and put their faith in government.

Put your faith in God and yourself, not others. No politician is ever going to lift you out of poverty. History proves that politicians who promise to provide for people have evil motives and nothing but contempt for your health and well-being. They will say anything to get you to giving up your individual rights and liberties. The cavalry isn’t coming.

We all have talents and unlimited potential. The founding principles that are under attack by Democrats today made America the land of opportunity. Achieving the American dream is easy; it actually takes more effort to stay poor. If you live in America, it is your choices in life that determine if you are rich or poor. Luck has nothing to do with it.

You have the freedom to begin changing your situation today. It's never too late. Ignore everyone who says that you can’t. Forget the bad choices that you made in the past and begin making the right choices today.

You cannot provide for a family or peruse the American dream with a minimum-wage job or a welfare check. Enroll in college or learn a trade. Work towards leaving that old dead end job or towards breaking the chains of dependence and slavery on welfare. Those big houses, new SUVs, boats and 401k plans are not just for others, they are also for you. Your dreams are your only limit, you just need to catch them. The theme is not “Yes we can”, it is “Yes YOU can”.

America is the world’s last beacon of freedom. Once this freedom fades away, mankind may never see freedom again. Only corrupt and oppressive politicians, the political elite, and their families will enjoy this incredible standard of living while all the rest will live in squalor and abject poverty with no way out. Don’t let freedom pass you by.

im that those on welfare don’t have a greedy bone in their body and that virtue comes with laziness, irresponsibility and dependence on government.

The Democrats intend to tax, borrow and spend Americans (except the political elite) into a life of “righteousness”. They plan to transform America into a nation void of capitalism like Haiti and Cuba. Remember, people flee their free government food, housing and healthcare and risk their lives trying to float here on makeshift boats fro

Wonderful article Brent!

What a gift it is to young people…a window into the wisdom that comes from experiences. Spirituality tells us of something “bigger than ourselves” which is “Love” itself! And Love = Work + Courage, a simple but often ignored equation of life. Laziness and Fear have no place in a successful life. Government should be concerned only with personal freedom, security, and the flow of goods and services. It must discontinue its thievery to spoils.
