BYRON DORGAN WILL NOT RUN FOR SENATE!

"After a lot of thought I have made the very difficult decision that I will not be seeking reelection in 2010, "Dorgan wrote in a memo to staff distributed this afternoon. "This decision is not a reflection of any dissatisfaction with my work in the Senate, nor is it connected to a potential election contest next fall (frankly, I believe if I were to run for another term I would be reelected)."

Dorgan knows when the going is good.
In a news letter that he sent out last year {Sept issue} the headline read: HEALTH CARE…DOING IT RIGHT IS MORE IMPORTANT ATHAN DOING IT QUICKLY. He went on to say in his article… WHAT I WON’T SUPPORT.
1. I won’t support a government takeover of the health care system or government rationing of health care.
2. I won’t support anything that undermines Medicare coverage for seniors or for veterans health care.
3. I won’t support a bill that covers those who are in this country illegally.
4. I won’t support a bill unless it maintains thecurrant ban on using federal funds to pay for abortion.

Well he certainly lied about the first two by voting for the bill in the senate. I am not so sure about the next two.It would be awful surprising if he doesn’t vote for it when the final bill is voted on even if contains the last two items.
Mr Dorgan, you are a lier and you can not explain your way out of it. You also allowed your vote to be bought. You were bribed. You will have to live with yourself.

I doubt that you would win relection after deceiving the people you were elected to represent the way you have.

Remember, Governor Hoeven FIRST explored running for Governor as a Democrat…Good advice from the Democrat Leadership at the time may have been “Can you perhaps do more for our constituencies, NDEA, NDPEA, and “the little guy” (in a right-to-work state with relatively weak union power) by running as a Republican? You may be re-elected to three or four terms, until your children are out of the home and you’ve spent as much as possible on those constituencies. And if you do so and do not run against any of us…when you wish to go to Washington and spend similarly, one of us may step down.

Not saying that is what was said…Just wishing I knew the real story?
