Kevin Cramer – He’s Our Man If He Can’t Do It Nobody Can

Never have I seen the American public so disgusted and fed up with our Congress.  Partisan politics, negative campaigning, and one scandal after another is literally sickening everyone.  We must cleanse a system that is totally dysfunctional and out of control.

Far too many politicians don’t measure up to their self-righteous rhetoric and we must hold them accountable by voting them out of office.
We have a right to demand a candidate who will lead and at the same time listen to us.  Someone who wants to do what you want but isn’t afraid to propose good ideas and suggestions of his own.  It is not an accident that the government of the United States cannot function on behalf of its’ people because it is no longer our people’s government and we the people know it.  Never has there been a more profound need for leaders of principle to step forward.

Samuel Adams one of our Founding Fathers said in 1780, “If ever a time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in government, our country will stand in need of its’ experienced patriots to prevent its’ ruin.”  Then around 1860 a noted British historian Thomas Macualy wrote a letter to a friend in America and said, “The average age of the world’s greatest democratic nations has been 200 years and each has been through the following sequence:

From bondage to spiritual faith.
From faith to great courage.
From courage to liberty.
From liberty to abundance.
From abundance to complacency.
From complacency to selfishness.
From selfishness to apathy.
From apathy to dependency.
And from dependency back into bondage.”

We are headed in that direction because the Congress has become a haven for far too many narcissistic politicians, for whom self-promotion, self-preservation, and greed have taken over serious engagement with serious issues.  The gross incompetence of those who preside over the federal apparatus is appalling and totally unacceptable.

God Bless America But Wake Up America!

You might be asking yourself what can little old me do and nobody makes a greater mistake than he who would do nothing because he could only do a little.

The idea of saviors and hero worshippers has been built into our entire culture.  We have looked to others to solve the problems of our country and that is not working.  Great social transformation such as the end of slavery, the women’s and civil right’s movement and the end of colonial rule all began with public awareness and engagement.  Political leaders followed rather than led.  A few courageous and committed citizens brought about change.  Gandhi’s most profound statement is so very true, “We must be the change we wish to see.”

Kevin Cramer is an American patriot and one of the most caring, principled, and talented men I have ever met.  We desperately need him in congress because he will always tell the truth and be a servant-leader that recognizes he works for us.
