Valerie Jarrett's fingerprints are all over the announcement issued Tuesday, July 3, 2013, delaying Obamacare implementation. The Washington publication "The Hill" reported on July 5 that "The Obamas' close friend and senior advisor Valerie Jarrett from Chicago days apparently was  the major influence in delaying the Obamacare employer mandate."
 
It was Jarrett who announced in a White House blog post that  businesses would be given until January 2015 to comply with the employer mandate. Meanwhile the administration will draft simpler reporting rules with help from the private sector. Businesses with more than 50 employees now have an additional year before being required to offer expensive
insurance or face severe penalties.
 
Who is Valerie Jarrett? Every Obama supporter knows -- or should know. She is the impetus behind the Obama administration. In executing her duties, she would do Rasputin proud.
 
Jarrett's role as senior advisor and assistant to the president for Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs (a position made for and designed by Jarrett) is to keep the president on the straight and narrow and true to his earliest liberal beliefs. Her job includes protecting Obama from Blue Dog Democrats, moderates and pragmatists.
 
"We have a kind of mind meld." (Her words, not mine.) "And chances are what he wants to do is what I want to do."
 
Jarrett is essentially unknown and accountable only to the president. The Obama's and Jarrett prefer it that way. To the president she is indispensable.
 
It was Michelle who first introduced Barack to Valerie twenty years ago when Valerie worked for Chicago's Mayor Daley and the former Michelle Robinson worked for the Chicago law firm Sidley Austin.
 
Jarrett is second only to Michelle as the power behind the presidency and all are content to keep it that way. With his consent, Jarrett orchestrates Obama's liberal, progressive and left-of-center
policies.
 
The Obama and Jarrett families interacted for years. Valerie's mother, Barbara Taylor Bowman, helped establish the Erikson Institute specializing in child advocacy. The Institute received considerable funding from the Woods Charitable Foundation. In later years the Woods Foundation's board of directors included Bill Ayers and Barack Obama.
 
Valerie's maternal grandmother was from Berkeley, California, and active in Planned Parenthood. Evidently she was undeterred by its racial eugenics.
 

In 1983, Valerie married Dr. William Robert Jarrett. Bill Jarrett's father, Vernon Jarrett, was a notable leftist columnist favored in  the Chicago media. In the 1940s Vernon served on the Citizens' Committee to  Aid Packing-House Workers together with Frank Marshall Davis, a very active  Communist Party USA (CPUSA) member who had mentored Barack Obama in Hawaii.
Vernon headed up the publicity committee and Frank was one of the chairmen.  After his death in 1987 the FBI released Frank's file including his CPUSA  number -- 47544.
 
There is more. Valerie Jarrett's maternal grandfather, Robert Rochon Taylor, was intimately involved with the notorious Communist front group, the American Peace Mobilization (APM), created in 1940 by the Soviet Comintern with the help of CPUSA. Congress acknowledged the APM was "one of the most notorious and blatantly Communist fronts ever organized in this
country." Listed together in surviving documents of the APM are the names Frank Marshall Davis and Robert Taylor. This identifies them squarely with the activist hard left.
 
Being raised in a leftist environment, Jarrett's case is more a case of guilt by indoctrination than guilt by association. Today we have the godson of Frank Davis (Barack Obama) and the daughter-in-law of Vernon Jarrett and granddaughter of Robert Taylor (Valerie Jarrett), descendants of pro-Stalinists, running the executive branch of government. Amazingly, all
of this escaped the vetting process by the mainstream media.
 
To assume that Obama is ignorant or incompetent is to dangerously underestimate his administration. He knows what he is doing, how to get there and who to employ. He depends heavily on the counsel of his like-minded people.
 
Of the three top advisors to President Obama, only Jarrett remains. Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod returned to Chicago while Jarrett stayed with the president to consolidate her influence.
 
Jarrett's influence extends to all executive departments and agencies and beyond. Everyone in Obama's administration bows to Jarrett. On Wednesday, July 3, the IRS website portion announcing information about the Obamacare mandates read simply, "Updated questions and answers will be posted soon. Please check back." The IRS is trying to figure out how next to
accommodate Jarrett.
 
Obamacare was forced on the American people and Jarrett is Obama's enforcer. Obama chooses which laws he will enforce and which laws to ignore.  Let's hear no comments comparing Obama's imperial presidency with other administrations. There is no equivalency between the noxious Soviet-style behavior of the Obama régime and the benign behavior of previous
administrations.
