Coup defined: An unexpected stroke, act, or move; a clever action or accomplishment. An attempt to thwart a constitutionally elected President by an unelected, “non-political” bureaucracy would fit the definition of a coup.

The so-called “deep state” evolved long before President Trump was elected. The major media in collusion with various Democrat administration hold-overs harassed Republican presidents as far back as Ronald Reagan. That high-level Obama administration functionaries worked actively to elect Hillary Clinton should come as no surprise.

“Yes, these are crimes. And not minor ones…Top officials at the Justice Department, FBI, and CIA, in cahoots with the Clinton campaign, used the extraordinary powers of the US Justice and intelligence agencies for purely political ends: to end the Trump Presidency.” Investor Business Daily, 1/15/19

“POTUS [President Obama] wants to know everything we are doing.” FBI Lisa Page text to FBI lover Peter Strzok on 9/2/16. Reported in The Wall Street Journal, 2/7/18. This is circumstantial evidence of the Obama administration’s attempt to influence the outcome of the 2016 election. Did that influence come from the top?

The tall, upstanding former FBI Director may not be all that “clean.” More than one person has referred to him as a dirty cop given the involvement of his department on his watch of the attempted silent coup of a duly elected president.

“[Comey] came and testified before Congress…I’m telling you, there are things that he said under oath that are flat-out lies that have been discredited. Mr. Comey should be held accountable for this. He should be prosecuted for what he did…Yes, he did lie to the FISA judges. He also lied to the Oversight Committee under oath…” Ex-Rep. Jason Chaffetz, former Chairman of the House Oversight Committee. Fox News, 3/15/19

“245 times he [Comey] said ‘don’t remember, don’t recall, and don’t know.’ The biggest takeaway for me was the ‘don’t know’ part. Specifically, he didn’t know much about Christopher Steele, the guy who they used his work product, the dossier, to go get the warrant to spy on the Trump campaign…Here’s the key player, the guy who wrote, put together, the dossier that was the basis for getting the warrant, and [Comey] didn’t know anything about him? I find that hard to believe…” RealClearPolitics on 12/19/18 quotes Rep. Jim Jordan’s remarks about Comey’s [12/7/18] closed-door Congressional testimony.

The integrity of John Brennan is quite reasonably challenged. “[T]he Deep State triad of Obama, Clinton, and [Obama CIA Director] Brennan colluded…to damage Trump’s campaign with allegations of Russian interference in the election. And they got the FBI and, later, a special prosecutor, to conduct a high-profile investigation. Such collusion, if only in the political sphere, wouldn’t be a crime. However, using federal assets and personnel and misrepresenting what you’re doing to a FISA court to influence an election are crimes. Felonies, in fact.” Investor’s Business Daily, 7/23/18

As mentioned earlier, this illegal activity has been going on a long time. “Intel agencies secretly monitored conversations of members of Congress while the Obama Administration negotiated the Iran nuclear deal. In 2014, the CIA got caught spying on Senate Intelligence Committee staffers, though CIA Director John Brennan had explicitly denied that.” The Hill, 2/10/17

The integrity of James Clapper is also challenged. “DNI Clapper falsely assured Congress in 2013 that the NSA was not collecting ‘any type of data at all on millions or hundreds of millions of Americans.’” The Hill, 9/20/17

“Former intelligence chief James Clapper is poised to avoid charges for allegedly lying to Congress after five years of apparent inaction by the Justice Department. Clapper…admitted giving ‘clearly erroneous’ testimony about mass surveillance in March 2013…Two criminal statutes that cover lying to Congress have five-year statutes of limitations, establishing a [3/12/18] deadline to charge Clapper, who in retirement has emerged as a leading critic of President Trump.” The Washington Examiner, 3/10/18

“I responded in what I thought was the …least untruthful manner by saying ‘no’.” James Clapper quoted at The Huffington Post, 6/12/13

Andrew McCabe’s behavior while with the FBI screams out for scrutiny. “[McCabe] was fired last year for lying to the FBI’s Inspector General at least four times regarding serious questions about multiple abuses that occurred while McCabe sat in a powerful and unelected office…McCabe’s [’60 Minutes’] interview only further proves that the upper echelon in both the FBI and DOJ were…plotting against Trump before he even took office…” The Federalist, 2/19/19

There are a lot of people who have a lot to answer for.

As that great American patriot, Rev. Jerimiah Wright, observed in a sermon on September 16, 2001, “America’s chickens are coming home to roost.”

Not soon enough. America can’t wait!
