DENNIS PATRICK: CAN YOU SAY “HYPOCRISY?”

Hypocrisy defined. “Behavior that contradicts what one claims to believe or feel.”

John Kerry preaches the evils of manmade climate change while flying his private jet around the world “saving the planet.”

Nancy Pelosi has her holiday vacation in Kona, Hawaii during the government shutdown. In San Francisco she forced a shuttered and struggling hair salon to open to serve her needs.

After Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York shook his finger at the people of his state admonishing them not to travel or gather for Thanksgiving, he announced plans to travel with his two adult daughters and 89-year-old mother to his Albany home for Thanksgiving.

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio on New Year’s Eve danced with his wife in a near-empty Times Square after warning residents against a New Year’s Eve celebration in Times Square.

California Governor Gavin Newsom sums up life in 2020 under the Ruling Class. Because of COVID-19 he shut down the entire state, shuttered businesses, forbade people to congregate, and all but cancelled Thanksgiving. Yet he was seen attending a birthday dinner at the exclusive French Laundry restaurant as if the pandemic never happened.

Many, many examples exist. Rules for thee, but not for me.

These examples prove both irritating and annoying and rightly so. But there is more, much more, and it converts to insidious, deadly destruction. Behind the veil of hypocrisy lives a treacherous endeavor to eradicate all political opposition forevermore.

Observe that Ruling Class’s hypocrisy and two-facedness doesn’t touch them. In great measure it amounts to the way they use their power. And they’re not afraid to use it. They’re not afraid of the backlash against it. They don’t care. In their minds they are entitled to power with no questions asked because they are morally and intellectually superior to the general public. Unity can only be achieved by acknowledging that they are the legitimate people entitled to exercise power and the rest of us are not. Unity amounts to the rest of us conforming to their edicts. In the world of the Democrats, “unity” means they’re in power and entitled to use it to the max to achieve conformity.

In 2008, “dissent” went from being the “highest form of patriotism” during Obama’s campaign, according to Communist revisionist historian Howard Zinn, to treason when anyone would dare criticize President Obama after his election.

Likewise, in 2020, “resistance” to the Trump White House quickly turned into “sedition” once the political tables were turned and the Biden White House was in power. Questioning the validity of Joe Biden’s election transformed from a genuine query to a shocking attack on American free speech. If President Trump had been inaugurated for a second term, there would be no censorship of Democrat politicians by the media and Big Tech.

See how hypocrisy works? We are not observing the usual retail politics as in times past. Skillful Democrats know how to use their power to define conservatives in the most heinous way. They label them, the media brands them, and the widespread impression sticks in the minds of the American media consumer.

Democrats approach politics from the simple and consistent perspective that any office currently held by a Republican is illegitimate and any office held by a Democrat is sacrosanct. In the end, there can be no equivalency between “Democrat hypocrisy” and “Republican hypocrisy.” The issue is use of power and the endgame of each party is different.

The difference between “resistance” and “sedition,” between “protests” and “insurrections,” is who’s in charge. Democrats “resist” Republican elected officials. Republicans, however, commit “sedition” against Democrat elected officials. Democrats “protest,” Republicans “riot.” The only real distinction is who’s in power and who’s on the barricades.

When Black Lives Matter and Antifa rioted, besieged the White House, and set fire to its guardhouse, the Democrats and their media lackeys characterized them as peaceful protesters. When federal agents protected the Lincoln Memorial against the rioters, the media condemned it as incipient fascism. Less than a year later, when 25,000 troops occupied Washington, D.C. like Baghdad the move was cheered by the left.

Democrat officials and their media allies are already touting a new campaign against “domestic extremism”. In power, these people get to define who the “extremists” are. Black Lives Matter, a hate group that injured hundreds of police officers and caused $2 billion in damage, and Antifa will not be on the list. The alliance between Democrat operatives, the media, and Silicon Valley will suppress news about Hunter Biden but will shape stories about “Russian disinformation.”

Anyone who questions Biden’s election can be accused of “incitement”, “sedition”, and “insurrection.” Democrats fantasize, in their own words, about using the government they have seized to “investigate”, “suppress”, and “deprogram” the political opposition.

In a nutshell, David Horowitz (son of communist parents and author of “Radical Son”) subtly sums up the camouflage offered by hypocrisy. “Inside every progressive is a totalitarian screaming to get out.”
