Question: Is the current one-party Democrat administration with its Open Borders policy helping fund cartels and facilitate human trafficking?

Indeed, the US faces a crisis of illegal immigration at the southern border. Overwhelmed by underage migrants, federal officials are seeking foster parents to take in as many as six kids per household. Currently, illegals are housed in hotels while homeless veterans still go homeless.

The Biden-Harris administration confronts a border crisis engineered by Democrat politicians with their soft rhetoric on immigration and open borders. Biden halted construction of the border wall, reinstated Obama-era protections for illegals, and ended Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy. This he promised in his campaign. And people voted for him.

The Trump administration created a policy called the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP). This was a workaround to a choice between separating minors from adults (bad) or allowing a policy that created an incentive for evil doers to convey kids on a dangerous journey (worse) where violence was commonplace and upwards of two-thirds of women and girls were raped.

The MPP, also called the Remain in Mexico Policy, stated that adults crossing with related children would be placed in Mexico instead of the US. This allowed the families to remain together while removing the incentive for bad people to use children as tickets into the US. Under the MPP, if adults were bringing children who were determined to be not related, often trafficked, the unaccompanied children would still be housed in the US but the adults would be forced out.

The result of Biden’s rollback of MPP was entirely predictable. Once again children are pawns used as tickets into the US through a dangerous journey.

Enter the cartels. Encyclopedia Britannica’s definition -- “Cartel: association of independent firms or individuals … exerting … restrictive or monopolistic influence on the … sale of a commodity …[A]rrangements are aimed at … dividing up markets.”

Cartels market human beings. Human trafficking, as distinct from human smuggling, carries a more serious charge. Trafficking involves the trade of humans for the purpose of forced labor, sexual slavery, or commercial sexual exploitation. Alternatively, many illegals accept smugglers called “coyotes” to assist them through Mexico.

The Sinaloa Cartel, one of the largest, profits most from human trafficking and poses a violent situation in Arizona. Retired Tucson Border Patrol Chief Roy Villareal said, “[Human] trafficking is a multi-billion-dollar industry.” Cochise County, Arizona, Sheriff Mark Dannels believes the Sinaloa Cartel handles all the human trafficking in the US. Data backs him up. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) provided the following from February 2021.

Fee Schedule: Children/Family $4,000 to $5,000; Single Adult $8,000 to $9,000; Mexican $5000 to $6,000.

February Revenues: Central American Children - $34.1m; Central American Families - $80.7m; Central American Single Adults - $139.5m; Mexicans - $157.2m. February Total: - $411.5m; Daily Average — $14.6m.

Indentured servitude returned to the US once again in 2021. Cartels track their chattel by issuing a colored wristband to illegals who have paid for entrance to US. Those who still owe money are issued a different color band and are tracked. Once illegals have a job, cartels seek payment by installment. Illegals would not think of missing a payment or “squealing” for fear of vicious consequences.

After only a few months of Biden’s policy, the child migrant crisis is at record high levels. Thousands of children are still “separated” or unaccompanied because they came with adults who were not their parents — often because they were trafficked.

Illegals pose enough of a crisis that Biden put VP Harris in charge of overseeing the immigration problem. When asked on March 22 whether she had any plans to visit the U.S.-Mexico border being overwhelmed by Central American illegal border crossers at levels not seen for two decades, Harris laughed. “Not today,” Harris said, before falling into a belly laugh. “But I have before, and I’m sure I will again.”

Obviously, cartels run as profitable businesses, but the Biden administration would not understand either profit or business. For all intents and purposes, this administration’s Open Border policy advances the profitability of the cartels. Exhibiting a sick sense of humor, Biden’s administration could claim to be pro-capitalist.

In the end, the Democrat Party and its media lackeys knew, or should have known, that they were advocating a policy that incentivized kids to be taken advantage of. More children were guaranteed to be brought on a dangerous and terrible journey -- and Democrats think they are scoring political points. What we observe, they have produced.

If the Democrat leadership, Democrat electorate, and legacy media believe that the November election was won fair and square then the House, Senate, and Presidency are firmly in their grasp – no contest. If so, then they are guilty of a humongous immigration travesty with blood on their hands.
