FBI Director Christopher Wray recently suggested that threats of terrorist attacks in the United States have been raised to a new high.

Wray spoke before the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee on Tuesday, October 31. He said, "The reality is that the terrorism threat has been elevated throughout 2023, but the ongoing war in the Middle East has raised the threat of an attack against Americans in the United States to a whole other level." He added, "The greatest terrorism threat to our homeland is posed by lone actors or small cells of individuals who typically radicalize violence online."

Startling news, of course. Yet, I hold today’s FBI in low esteem as I do other departments of the Executive Branch. These departments’ idea of protecting America resides in prosecuting Donald Trump and defending Biden’s alleged criminal activities. Again, my opinion.

Christopher Wray’s terrorist concerns focus on three factors. Using his words, 1) “There is no doubt that the greatest long-term threat to our nation’s… national security is that posed by the Chinese communist government…”

Then he pivots. Director Wray inches a bit closer to the truth by shifting blame. 2) "The reality is that the terrorism threat has been elevated throughout 2023, but the ongoing war in the Middle East has raised the threat of an attack against Americans in the United States to a whole other level." He suggests that threats of terrorist attacks in the United States have been raised to a new high, triggered by the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Islamic terrorist group Hamas. Ah, ha! We are getting closer.

Wray pivots once more. He stipulates, 3) "The greatest terrorism threat to our homeland is posed by lone actors or small cells of individuals who typically radicalize to violence online." Wray clouds the issue by noting these potential threats are not receiving direction from foreign terrorist organizations. Whew! Good to know.

To sum up Wray’s comments, the threat to America is either the Chinese Communist government, the conflict between Hamas and Israel, or the on-line radicalization of lone wolves.

What are we supposed to think? What is the motive? That the deep state may actually facilitate terrorist attacks on the US homeland to justify imposing a shutdown of the upcoming November 2024 election in order that Biden might continue in office? After all, the COVID-19 pandemic was used as an excuse to shutdown the US economy. Come on, man! That’s crazy! This is conspiracy theory stuff gone wild! America lived through many trials and tribulations, and we never considered delaying or cancelling an election.

Fact. Wray works for an administration whose policy opens US borders to all comers. Of course, he will quickly acknowledge that he has “sworn to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States.” But first things first. Wray will be loyal to his boss or else he would not be working for him. And he certainly will not contradict his boss in public. That explains his tapdancing around the threat issue. The threat to America is the unhindered flow of illegal migrants arriving from dozens of countries who will never assimilate. They are here principally for material gain -- if it lasts.

Among the eight million migrants from dozens of countries who have swarmed across the U.S. southern border during the nearly three years of the Biden administration, there are a good number of radical Islamists from terrorist hotbeds in the Middle East and sub-Saharan Africa. True, there are also Chinese PLA special forces and Chinese military-age single men crossing into the US. Look at it this way. If only one percent of the eight million migrants who arrived during Biden’s first three years are radicalized America-haters, that would be 80,000 people who could wreak havoc in the United States. If you don’t like the number eight million, then call it four million illegal migrants. Or cut that in half again and call it two million. One percent would still yield 20,000 foreigners here illegally many of whom could be Islamic radicals prepared to wage jihad within the US. Please recall, only 19 terrorists were involved in the four coordinated 9/11 attacks (one tenth of one percent of 20,000) of which two were on the FBI watch list. In 2023 over 160 illegals on the FBI’s watch list were caught crossing the US southern border. The Customs and Border Patrol can only guess at the number of “got-aways.” On the other hand, Wray estimates 1.8 million “got-aways” in 2023!

So why doesn’t Wray speak forthrightly about the threat? Because that would bring into question Wray’s loyalty to his boss. Instead, Wray mealy mouths his words. He supports the Biden administration’s open borders option to recruit and grow a new constituency to replenish a shrinking Democrat Party.
