DENNIS PATRICK: ILLEGAL VOTING UPDATE

With elections upon us, the potential for fraud reigns supreme.

Judicial Watch (JW), a non-partisan educational foundation promoting transparency, accountability, and integrity in government, politics, and the law has its hands full. Its past efforts and successes give hope to the weary.

JW practices its motto: “Because no one is above the law.” Accordingly, it uses freedom of information (FOIA) laws and other tools to investigate and uncover government wrongdoing. They also litigate to hold accountable politicians and public officials who engage in corruption.

The battle goes on -- and JW does yeoman’s work combating illegal voting.

JW serves as a national leader in voting integrity and voting rights. As part of its work, JW assembled a team of highly experienced voting rights attorneys. Robert Popper, a JW attorney, leads its election law program. He previously served in the Voting Section of the Civil Rights Division of the Justice Department where he managed voting rights investigations, litigations, consent decrees, and settlements in dozens of states. Among its other achievements JW stopped discriminatory elections in Hawaii and forced voter roll purging in California, Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky.

Voter fraud is a major threat to the American Republic. Illegal aliens and other non-citizens can now vote in Washington, D.C. as well as local elections in New York City, California, Maryland, and Vermont. The following demonstrates how Washington, D.C. incorporates illegal immigrants into the voting system.

Judicial Watch received 13 pages of records in response to an April 12, 2024, FOIA request from the D.C. explaining how D.C. provides instructions to illegal aliens as to how they can register to vote in local elections. The request sought the following material:

  --Materials provided at the training.

--Communications advertising or promoting the training.

--Materials provided to the participants after the training.

On April 10, 2024, D.C. held a training event titled, “Non-Citizen Voting Education Virtual Training,” in which D.C. announced noncitizen voting would begin in 2024. The PowerPoint presentation explained:

“Non-US citizens residents of the District of Columbia can vote in local elections under the Local Resident Voting Rights Amendment Act of 2022. Non-US citizen residents can vote in District elections for the Offices of Mayor, Attorney General, Chairman or member(s) of the State [sic] Board of Education, or Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner(s). Non-US citizen residents cannot vote for Federal Offices.”

The camel’s nose is under the tent. Truly, more than the camel’s nose has entered. JW recently exposed a large-scale operation potentially opening the door to massive voter fraud. Pew Charitable Trusts founded the Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC) directed by David Becker (previous director of People for the American Way’s “Democracy Campaign”). ERIC exists to help states share data enabling them to maintain the accuracy of voter rolls. ERIC’s second mission encourages voter registration. Member states provide voter registration and Department of Motor Vehicles data to ERIC to help “maintain” voter rolls. ERIC, in fact, serves as a Trojan Horse with ties to extreme leftist groups undermining the principle that only US citizens should vote in our elections.

At its inception, ERIC was a 32-state consortium including Washington, D.C. As of June 2024, nine states have severed their data sharing ties to ERIC citing questionable funding sources (Soros’s Open Society Institute), partisan actors’ access to ERIC’s data, and other violations of accountability. In October 2023 Texas became the largest state to withdraw from ERIC.

ERIC claims to have identified millions of registered voters who have relocated, died, or hold duplicate voter registrations. Yet, according to an analysis of data from the US Election Assistance Commission by the firm Verity Vote, states that do not participate in ERIC had a higher rate of identifying and removing persons from voter registration rolls than ERIC’s member states. Bias plainly comes into focus when considering ERIC’s second mission -- identifying unregistered voters. They have been far more successful in identifying unregistered voters than in cleaning voter rolls. JW observes ERIC as a “syndicate founded by leftists to manage voter registration rolls.”

To confirm JW’s observation, return to David Becker. He deserves a closer look. After founding ERIC, Becker went on to create the Center for Election Innovation and Research (CEIR) but remained active with ERIC. CEIR works closely with ERIC managing state voter rolls. In 2020 CEIR received a $70 million grant from Zuckerberg philanthropies (“Zucker Bucks”) for “voter education programs.” Nothing to see here.

For all their excellent work, kudos to Judicial Watch! Someone is looking out for us.
