America appears to be mutating from a republic into something despotic.

Over recent decades America slowly drifted into a quagmire of laws the public does not even know exist. But the 3 million federal employees forming the administrative state know their slice of a given statute and stand ready to enforce compliance. On November 5 America elected new leaders. Priority must be given to cutting laws, rules, regulations, and the administrative state.

Government employees control healthcare, food production, education, social media, energy, and more. They watch the population through manipulative eyes. Whether curtailing oil and gas production or mandating alternative energy use or managing the people’s healthcare, elites force their preferences on the American people with the rationale that it is for their own good.

Focus for a moment on enforcing compliance. Ninety departments and agencies employ 136,815 federal law enforcement officers, 3,742 of whom are employed by Offices of Inspectors General (OIGs). Federal inspectors general (IGs) are granted independence and powers to execute their missions supposedly within their departments and agencies. They have legal authority to carry firearms; make arrests without warrants; and execute warrants for arrest, search, and seizure of evidence. We would expect such authority to be implicit for Homeland Security, FBI, and ATF. But the same applies to HUD, EEOC, SBA, OPM, and many more. Also, the US Attorney General has authority to further delegate law enforcement power to more agencies. This accounts for just the federal government. States and local jurisdictions appoint and orchestrate their own law enforcement agencies.

Yes, we are a nation of laws. Yes, most people are law abiding citizens. Nevertheless, most people are not aware of the existence of laws affecting their daily lives. There are many laws in effect intended to guide and control behavior. People unknowingly violate these laws every day. Beyond the laws enacted by congress and state legislatures are the rules and regulations issued by agencies and departments that carry the same force as law.

Congress produces two thousand to three-thousand-page bills and then reworks them by inserting unrelated amendments and clauses. If Representatives and Senators do not have time to read and understand their bills before passing them into law, how should we be expected to know the law?

People on the wrong side of the Ruling Class make easy targets for those looking to impose their will. Provocateurs could certainly bring charges against any violator. Even if the charges are frivolous, the victim could be ground down by legal costs. Think of President Trump and his dealings with lawfare. Then think of his prominent associates like Roger Stone, Steve Bannon, Paul Manafort, Rick Gates, George Papadopoulos, Allen Weisselberg, Peter Navaro, Michael Flynn, and Elliott Broidy. You get the idea.

Those who control power control the legal process. They see their place in American culture as above the law. Law is to keep the common man under control and closely guided. When was the last time you saw the likes of Hillary Clinton, Hunter Biden, Peter Strzok (FBI), Andrew McCabe (FBI), James Comey (FBI), and other elites held accountable for their actions under the law?

Which again raises the issue: Do we not already have enough laws on the books? As pointed out above, on any given day most of us violate laws and regulations we don’t even know exist! Why should congress legislate more laws if those laws are going to be ignored -- or enforced selectively?

Other examples of legal uses and abuses include the following. First, Vice President Biden oversaw the execution of the Affordable Care Act’s individual mandate coercing Americans to enroll in government-run health care and forsaking their private insurance. Second, Kamala Harris, during her presidential bid, promised to unilaterally (that means dictatorially) rewrite immigration and gun laws by executive decree. Third, inspired by strains of Marxist thinking, the political elite from certain states, along with Marxist District Attorneys, condoned urban riots for months. Winking at fascist tactics of looting, vandalism, censorship, and violently coercing civilians by mob intimidation, these people imposed their will. Fourth, under President Obama the IRS in 2010 engaged in political profiling. Led by Lois Lerner using IRS-generated regulations, the IRS targeted for retribution American organizations such as the Tea Party and others critical of the administration.

            And what is the message from the Ruling Class controlling the administrative state? Do not ever, ever transgress or resist their authority or edicts. To do so will bring down lawfare on the head of the transgressor, i.e., selective applications of the law. In turn, lawfare magnifies charges into punishable offences. Resist the political establishment and the same fate will befall you.
