DENNIS PATRICK: REVIEWING THE DEEP STATE’S RACE AGAINST TIME
A sprint. A dash. A race to the finish. Whatever the term used, President Trump, and his antagonists in the Deep State and the US House of Representatives are in a race against time. November 2020 is coming and Trump looks like a shoe-in for a second term.
The Democrats are trying to derail Attorney General William Barr’s investigation of misconduct surrounding the 2016 election. Democrats are desperately trying to convince Americans that Trump is guilty of collusion – or something – anything – and he should not be president.
Why are Democrats so upset by Barr’s investigation? Simple. The DOJ and other venues have now opened criminal investigations. The unlawful involvement of the CIA, FBI, DOJ personnel, and potentially the Obama White House to insure President Donald Trump would not complete a term in office has been raised to the level of criminal investigations.
The DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz is looking at abuses of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). US Attorney John Durham of the District of Connecticut is overseeing the origins of the Russia investigation spearheaded by Robert Mueller. He is seeking to determine if intelligence collection involving the Trump campaign was lawful. Grand juries have been impaneled. That is why John Brennan, James Clapper, James Comey, and others have lawyered up.
In essence, a grand jury is not empaneled unless the investigator is prepared to indict. Durham already knows laws were broken. The only question remaining is how many people were involved that could be indicted. Of course, the anticipated nonsensical howls one would expect from Democrats is that Attorney General William Barr is “politicizing the DOJ.” Ha!
This is a big issue. It is not so much conservative versus liberal or Republican versus Democrat. It is bigger than that. There is indeed a constitutional crisis brewing when the elites exhibited by some upper echelon personnel of federal agencies (the Swamp) attempt an end run around the 2016 election. The elites in Washington, DC are trying to illicitly nullify the 2016 election using assets of the federal agencies. That is a big deal. By any other name, it is still an attempted coup.
The elite feel absolutely threatened by you and me and 60 million other voters. In effect, they maintain that what we think and how we vote really doesn’t matter because they are going to run America the way they want to run it. According to the elites, every election is merely a deception having us believe that we matter, but we really don’t. They will run the country as they see best.
Deception occurs when the elites attempt to make this big issue appear as if it’s just a normal part the regular political process. In fact, it is a disguise. Big media accomplices are more than willing to help promulgate the deception.
As many see it, the effort to “get Trump” is a tale without end. Every narrative to excise him has been made up out of whole cloth and orchestrated by DOJ, FBI, and intelligence community holdovers from the Obama administration. Events were created to entrap Trump and members of his administration with the help of a rancid left-wing mainstream media.
What happens to primary news coverage when President Trump is no longer front-and-center superseded by the investigation results? What happens to the anti-Trump narratives when the results of the ongoing investigations are released?
The race is on between the conclusion of multiple investigations now underway targeting those believed to have engaged in malfeasance and criminal activity who thought they could overturn a legitimately elected president and those who would impeach President Trump.
The anti-Trump objective is (you guessed it) to influence the outcome of the 2020 election. Make no mistake. Winning the 2020 election is the ultimate prize and the Democrats with their media accomplices will do anything -- literally -- to win.
