DENNIS PATRICK: SCHIFF JUST CAN’T GET IT STRAIGHT

Quid pro quo? Uh, uh. No quid. No pro. No quo. Representative Adam Schiff (Democrat) from California’s 28th District in Los Angeles County chairs the House Intelligence Committee (oxymoron?). He tried repeatedly to sink Trump’s presidency and every attempt comes up short. This Harvard Law School grad comes across as ineffective, thus it is hard to take Schiff seriously.

From his multitude of screwed up endeavors, he looks more like the ludicrously incompetent Brooklyn mob boss from the novel and movie “The Gang Who Couldn’t Shoot Straight.” The would-be boss, Kid Sally Palumbo, “couldn’t run a gas station at a profit even if he stole the customer’s cars.”

Enter Julie Kelly. Julie Kelly works with The Federalist and is also a senior contributor to the website American Greatness. Her article “The Impeachment Schiff Show” appeared in American Greatness website on November 1, 2019. In it she detailed a timeline she calls a bill of particulars against the president. A failed bill of particulars to be sure. Kelly proceeds to lay out the specifics. Quote: “…Russian election collusion, porn star payoffs, income tax evasion, obstruction of justice, the Emoluments Clause, the 25th Amendment, The Charlottesville rally, the two Michaels (Avenatti and Cohen), Deutsche Bank, Alfa-Bank, and Orange Man Bad – Representative Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) finally has Trump dead-to-rights: A quid pro Quo without the quid, the pro, or the quo.”

Every hate-filled attempt to get rid of Trump has failed. Russian collusion, nothing; Stormy Daniels, nothing; income tax evasion, zero; obstruction of justice, nada; Emoluments Clause, zip; 25th Amendment accusing Trump of being insane, bomb; Charlottesville where Dems claimed Trump was sympathetic to neo-Nazis, dud.

For her part, Nancy Pelosi broke with tradition. Rather than hand off the impeachment process to the House Judiciary Committee, she handed it off to her most trusted, though incompetent ally, – Schiff and the House Intelligence Committee. That’s how we got to where we are now.

Schiff deliberately hatched the “whistleblower” scandal now known as the Whistleblower Follies. He is a known and proven liar. This erases any semblance of credibility he might hold as a congressman much less as a committee chairman. And yet, here he is attempting to impeach the duly elected president of the United States. Who could forget his biggest lie of all committed before Congress and the American people. For three years Schiff claimed to have circumstantial, significant, direct, in-plain-sight, and clear evidence that Trump’s campaign colluded with the Kremlin to turn the 2016 election. Strange. Even Mueller could not uncover that information between May 2017 and March 2019.

Lying Schiff, as he is known, is also guilty of making up content and context of the Trump phone call to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. That stunt was performed at his committee hearing and was fortunately recorded. It is occasionally broadcast on Fox News. In an exquisite move, Trump blew up Schiff’s escapade by declassifying the phone call transcript (he has the authority to do so) and releasing it to the public!

Schiff is also extremely gullible. He was so bent on hurting Trump that he unwittingly accepted a phone call from Russian comedian pranksters alleging they had naked photos of Trump. Schiff actually coordinated to receive the alleged photos at Brighton Beach, Brooklyn, NY from the pranksters. That, too, blew up -- obviously. Democrats are actually placing their trust and confidence in Schiff to “get the job done.” Sad.

Move forward to the “Whistleblower Follies.” Why “Follies?” When the Mueller Report fell flat, as did Mueller himself in his testimony before Congress, Schiff scrambled to concoct another scheme – Impeachment Hearings. Starring roles were played by mediocre actors: a “secret whistleblower” (they are always “secret”), a US ambassador to the Ukraine, and a military “hero.” Like the promised evidence involving Russian collusion, the impeachment hearings are all a ruse.

Here is the takeaway from Julie Kelly’s piece. Everything alleged to have happened involving the Ukraine saga began with Adam Schiff in a futile effort to nab Trump at something – anything – to get him removed from office. Schiff manufactured the entire scenario. He arranged the witnesses, he arranged the whistleblower, he arranged how the witnesses’ testimony is put together, he arranged the rules for the impeachment proceedings, and it was all done behind closed doors.

None of what Schiff has been doing is based in reality. This is not just an opinion shared by Julie Kelly. The public is looking for reporting that isn’t heavily slanted (emphasis on “heavily”). Of all the news coverage, Fox News ratings are far ahead of any other network on the impeachment hearings. People are paying attention as best they can. Fox has its own problems, but they are the least biased of all other major news outlets.

To further illustrate Adam Schiff’s impotence, Nancy Pelosi, on November 2, announced to the press that, “Well, we might even now have to go beyond Ukraine.” That sounds about right. The Ukraine ploy is falling apart and Pelosi, Schiff, and the Dems don’t have anything else to run with.
