Whoever gathers information from the TV network news media elite may have missed what is going on in the world. Below are listed headlines from alternative media sources today known as the “Fifth Estate” (cyber sources, social media and media outlets operating outside the mainstream media).

IRS Scandal:

“Missing IRS E-Mails: At What Point Will the News Media Decide That This is News?'” (NewsBusters.org 6/20/2014). How do the mainstream media cover the IRS scandal? CBS evening news, ABC morning news, ABC evening news, NBC Today Show and NBC nightly news gave no coverage as of June 20.

“Lois Lerner’s Hard Drive Destroyed; Big Three Evening Newscasts Ignore” (NewsBusters.org 6/19/2014). The headline speaks for itself.

Iraq Crisis:

“ISIS Jihadists Seize Saddam Hussein's Chemical Weapons Stockpile'” (UK Telegraph 6/20/2014). But weren’t we assured that there were no weapons of mass destruction to be found in Iraq after President Bush invaded?

“U.S. Signals Iraq's Maliki Should Go” (The Wall Street Journal 6/19/2014). Regime change? Isn’t that what happened with Kaddafi in Libya and Mubarak in Egypt and the Shaw of Iran in 1979? How did that work out for us?

Environmental Protection Agency:

“EPA Chief: Yes, We're Fighting a 'War on Coal'” (The Weekly Standard 6/16/1014). Suspicions confirmed.

“The Unmasked Climate Question: How to Replace 86% of the World’s Energy Mix?” (Forbes 6/18/2014). In 2013 coal was the fastest growing fossil fuel worldwide because it is cheap and abundant. Fossil fuels comprise 86% of the world’s energy mix. With what do we replace cheap and abundant energy when coal is greatly restricted? Go figure.

Illegal Alien Surge:

“Infectious Tuberculosis Moving Across US Border ICE Whistleblower Confirms” (Infowars.com 6/20/2014).

            “Migrants Amassing at Rio Grande’s Edge” (AZCentral.com 6/20/2014.)

            “Militia Groups Call Members to Border” (Breitbart.com 6/20/2014)

            “Boehner: Call Out National Guard for Border” (Washington Times 6/20/2014)

            “Border Agents Quitting Over Catch and Release of Known Gang Members” (Infowars.com 6/20/2014). Frustration compounded.

Miscellaneous:

“Chelsea Clinton paid $600K by NBC” (Politico 6/13/2014). Is she worth it?

“Child Rape Victim: ‘Hillary Clinton Took Me through Hell’” (Breitbart.com 6/20/2014 via The Daily Beast and The Washington Free Beacon). This refers to Hillary Clinton’s voluntary legal defense of a man who raped a 12-year old girl in 1975. Hillary won. Whose side is she on in the war on women?

“The Latest Allegations in Wisconsin Are Much Ado About Nothing” (The Daily Signal 6/19/2014). Leftist prosecutors in Wisconsin will not leave Governor Scott Walker alone. “In short, there was no ‘criminal scheme,’ there was no violation of the law, and the prosecutors had no basis for pursuing their investigation, which was a fishing expedition that violated the most basic norms of the Bill of Rights.”

“Sharyl Attkisson to Lou Dobbs: Reporters Skip Scandals to Avoid Looking Like ‘Right-Wing Nuts’” (NewsBusters.org 6/20/2014). So much for integrity and the tradition of investigative reporting. The media elite act more like lap dogs than watch dogs.

And, the Finale:

“Gallup: Public Confidence in TV News at All-Time Low” (CNSNews.com 6/20/2014). Surprise, surprise.
