Video Shows Conrad "Clarifying" His Position
Apparently, Senator Conrad has not liked the credit we've given him on his quote a few weeks ago. Considering the Bismarck Tribune was also giving him credit, he must not have liked that attention either.
Here was the original quote:
"As a general rule, you don't want to be cutting spending or raising taxes in the midst of a downturn. We know that very soon we've got to pivot and focus on the deficit. But it probably is too soon to cut spending or raise taxes." - Senator Kent Conrad
The Bismarck Tribune even advised Senator Dorgan to follow Senator Conrad! Apparently, Senator Conrad was more easily convinced to follow Senator Dorgan and Harry Reid.
As a result, we've amended the online petition to also address Senator Conrad's new position. Over 175 people have already signed the petition, if you have not done so, please add you name to the list and leave some comments.
