DUSTIN GAWRYLOW: TELL CONGRESSMAN POMEROY IT’S OK TO TAKE THE JOB
Good Morning Taxpayers,
Last Friday, I alerted you to the story regarding Congressman Pomeroy's tirade behind closed doors where he said healthcare is hurting him so badly in North Dakota that he quote "might as well retire."
Later that afternoon a story came out that Congressman Pomeroy is being considered to be the next President of the American Council of Life Insurers.
The Congressman quickly issued a statement denying it.
But today, yet another story from Roll Call comes out saying these rumors are continuing to persist in Washington about the Congressman's interest in the job.
So the question is: does he want the job, and if not, why not?
Clearly a job like this as Head Lobbyist for a major special interest group would be a huge pay increase. With the way the Democratic leadership has pushed around people like Pomeroy, and the way Pomeroy has rolled over for his leadership, why would he want to keep going through the meat grinder?
Instead of being mad that the Congressman might be looking for work, let's help him get the job.
NDTA has set up a petition for you to sign on our website to sign on to a letter of recomendation for Congressman Pomeroy in his bid to become the top lobbyist for the Life Insurance Industry.
