EDWARD MORRIS: MY WHORISH LEFTIST-STYLE OPINION PIECE
I'm a sucker for Youtube videos on narcissism. One after another, they keep me away from my responsibilities. Uggghh. I can't lie. I'm not a leftist. If I were I'd've attempted to impress a supposed readership with professedly banal cares that I knew were outside the everyday experience of peon tire-changers, but I just can't do it.
So much for satire.
Anyway, this guy I never heard of named something-or-other Grannon pops out pop psych vids I guess. Personally, I like his style but my response to his content doesn't inform the content of this present attempt at a real opinion piece cloaked in the garb of Manhattan-dwelling, self-messaging perfume ads.
He begins to say "gentlemen" and corrects himself. "Gentlefolk."
Those of us intelligent enough to look upon wokeness as the senseless, revolting, multi-legged (or no-legged) wormy, creepy species that it is will naturally wonder: Why is -folk a less offensive suffix than -men. We could just as easily ask why -person is more palatable. The next question might be this? Why is the general term for the human population synonymous with the male rather than female gender? Before one can attempt to answer this question in one's mind, another springs forth: Why should members of the female sex express a grievance? Couldn't an argument be raised that men have a grievance? Yeah, why do women get to have their own denomination and we're stuck with just being men which means we're brand X and you women get to go off thinking you're soooo special!
What right do you have to get a special label? I think we should abolish the word 'women'. It harkens back to a dark age where sex was something imposed upon one. Wait a minute! Imposed upon one??? Sorry, Kendrick Lamarr. I can't believe I just said that! Woopsies. My polka-dot stick-on nails just made untoward advances against my braces. Forgive me. Of course, I recant. Who dares say sex is "imposed on one?" If imposition of gender is offensive, surely so must be imposition of number!
Breathing-things with hominid features - oh! Hominid comes from the Latin 'Homo' meaning man. Again, Kendrick Lamarr, I beg your indulgence. I am but a humble rationalist. You are a wizard of rhyme, the very light out of darkness!
I got it!!!! Hominid comes from 'homo' meaning gay! (BARK!!! BARK!!! Can I get a bone now?)
Let me try this again so as not to offend anyone. (OHHHH! Sorry. I'm really trying!!!)
The key to higher communication is through (through? Sorry, I didn't realize the penetrative connotations of that word when I said it...) the key to higher communication is by abject (wait a second... abJECT? Oh noooo! Please Kendrick! 'ab' is Latin for 'from' and '-ject' derives from the verb 'jacio' whence we derive 'ejaculate'!!! ) I swear, officer, I've signed up for sensitivity training.
'Sensitivity' comes from the Latin sentire meaning "to feel, perceive, become aware of..."
The only thing to feel, perceive and be aware of is that the lethality of the boot on your neck is inversely proportional to your impudence in calling it that. The training is beneath the dignity of dogs.
And the second you apologize for a purported offense, so are you.
