The Democrats endorsed a candidate for the Public Service Commission who supports cap and trade and renewable mandates. He even once said, "The road to the climate summit in Copenhagen goes through Bismarck."

And that is no April fool's joke!

Clearly North Dakota's tremendous progress in energy development cannot afford a regulator who supports positions so extreme not even our congressional delegation will back them.

The problem is he is well connected to big out of state money.

Please help me ensure North Dakota does not lose the momentum we have gained in the last few years. Won't you please support my campaign for re-election to the PSC?  In my short time on the commission, North Dakota has become the "go to place" for investment and job growth in the energy sector of our economy.

I have worked hard to create a regulatory climate that protects ratepayers as well as our natural and cultural resources while providing the certainty which has led to billions of dollars of investment and the high paying jobs that follow.

We are first in lignite coal production, fourth in oil production, sixth in electricity exports. We are even 10th in wind production. We also meet all ambient air quality standards and reclaim our coal mines to productivity levels that exceed pre-mining.

All of these accomplishments can be undone by one rogue regulator whose agenda is not North Dakota's agenda.
