Messianic Jews

Messianic Jews believe that Jesus (Yeshua in Aramaic) is the Messiah prophesied in the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible) and that he died for the sins of the world. Efforts by Jewish Christians to proselytize to Jews began in the first century, when Paul the Apostle preached at the synagogues in each city that he visited. Congregations began in the US in 1885 and, from 2003 to 2007, grew from 150 Messianic houses of worship to 438, with over 100 in Israel.

Messianic Judaism differs from Christianity primarily in that Messianic Jews identify as Jewish while believing in Jesus as the Messiah, maintaining Jewish practices and heritage, while Christians, typically non-Jews, focus on Jesus as the Son of God and savior of humanity.

Irony of Ironies

As those practicing their Jewish faith in the United States have been drawn to Messianic Judaism, the percentage of people in the U.S. identifying as Christian has been declining. Worldwide, however, Christianity is growing. Protestants, independents*, Evangelicals, and Pentacostal/charismatics are also growing in the U.S. against the U.S. trend away from Jesus.

*Some independent churches are part of loose associations like the Churches of Christ, while others are founded by individual pastors (Joel Osteen is one of my favorites) or have grown from networks like Acts 29. Acts 29 has a single focus: church planting and equipping leaders to plant and sustain healthy multiplying churches.

The Disfunk-Shun Family

This make-believe family reflects the disastrous education (indoctrination) of our youth in many public schools that is the root cause of the Amber Alert referenced in the title of this article.

The last name was hyphenated to ensure the mother dominates the marital relationship in the name of sexual justice. Family history ranges from outright atheism to disgust of organized religion. The arts represent an effective vehicle to disguise evil with feigned compassion.

The father, Core, listens closely to find out the ideological bent of each person he encounters. When he senses their “tribal” affiliation (left, center, right) he tends to bring up any issues favorable to that particular tribe. Using his tactic, no-one is initially offended (theoretically speaking). They find out, the hard way, when he feels a sense of power that entitles him to attack behind their back, occasionally employing useful idiots such as mind-numb adolescents to deliver the back-stabbing unexpected ideological retaliation, cloaked in one or more perceived grievances, such as not kissing a backside adequately.

The mother, Wretched, laughs at everyone’s jokes, hugs others profusely to entreat a false sense of security… and does her damage behind the scenes out of public view.

Eldest daughter, Waite, replaces the emptiness of her agnosticism with a compulsive eating disorder that little disguises her ingrained selfishness.

Middle daughter, Wrecker, is content to destroy other families by displaying her womanly gifts to entice married men… later discarding them like worn out panty hose. Buyer beware.

Young son, Snowflake, takes offense to almost any comment thrown in his direction, making each person he encounters wonder “Is this lad studying for a career in psychopathic reprisal? Perhaps with advanced degrees in gender dysphoria and identity studies?

Update: Disfunk-Shun Family Loss – July 2025

Middle daughter, Wrecker, enticed a male married co-worker, resulting in his divorce. She then married him, embracing his two children whom they shared for a time with his ex-wife. The subsequent turmoil resulted in his committing suicide, leaving Wrecker with no children… and leaving his ex-wife with full custody…and his children with no father. Only Jesus and His love can turn such lives around…

Summary

It seems as if almost a third of our fellow citizens are afflicted with a self-worship mentality. A diverse arrangement of dis-functional “Values” that bear no resemblance to actual Virtue or Virtuousness.

A lack of belief in something larger than one’s self leaves these misfits with an overly inflated ego and a perverted sense of right and wrong that is an open invitation to either Marxism’s army of useful idiots (DEI, CRT) or a room with bed only in the Perversion Motel.

The Reward

The reward offered with the above referenced Amber Alert, Eternal Life, comes from the missing Rabbi (Teacher) Himself, Yeshua, the Aramaic speaking Jewish Son of God that many of us call Jesus. I have a deep conviction that His love, together with our Work and Courage, will prevail.
