LWVUS claims to be a nonpartisan organization that empowers the American people to take control of their democracy by registering voters, giving them a trusted nonpartisan source for issue, candidate, and ballot information, to ensure a political system that serves the needs of all people, not just special interests. LWVUS sponsors education and outreach programs to communicate their agenda and hold elected officials accountable to LWVUS..

LWVUS, to accomplish the above, opposes the following:

• Voter Identification Laws (as being restrictive, unnecessary, and harder for communities of color, low income areas, the elderly, and other underrepresented groups)
• Early Voting Opportunity Restrictions
• Corporate Free Speech in Monetary Form
• U.S. Chamber of Commerce Spending on Political Campaigns
• Arizona's immigration law, which does not prohibit “profiling” to detain and interrogate potential illegal immigrants and to detain American citizens for verification of citizenship.
• The US Healthcare System as it existed prior to the Affordable Care Act

LWVUS is in favor of the following:

• More Federal Action on Climate Change
• Diversity of Voices in Congress
• Higher Voter Registration and Community Involvement
• Unlimited Early Voting
• Campaign Finance Reform
• Grassroots Activism
• Holding Elected Officials Accountable when they vote against priorities of LWVUS

If you have already guessed that LWVUS stands for Leftist Women Volunteers of the United States… you are, in essence, correct but legally incorrect.

The League of Women Voters of the United States (LWVUS) used to actually be non-partisan. As you can see from their policies listed above and itemized in a letter accompanying their recent Voter Opinion Survey solicitation, their agenda most closely mirrors that of the Democrat Party.

Marxists have infiltrated every aspect of American culture. The LWVUS is no exception.
