This is madness.  Yesterday we had the story about the city of Seattle “inviting” white employees to participate in “special “training” to try to cleanse themselves of their essential whiteness.  This cult indoctrination masquerading as “training sessions” is based on the premise that white people are inherently evil, that they are born to subjugate all people who are not white.  It aims to root out “whiteness”.  

Here are a few things white people need to work on:

“Individualism”, “perfectionism”, “intellectualization” and “objectivity”.  These are racist, white supremacist hallmarks of evil.  If you are white and guilty of trafficking in any of the above you have a lot of work to do on yourself.  This assertion is based on the assumption that all races of non-white peoples lack this individualism.  Apparently, to the organizers and designers of this money-making scam being perpetrated on Seattle and other consumers, all blacks must look alike.  

“Perfectionism”?  So perfectionism is alien to non-white races.  Hmmm.  So these other races, according to these trainers, find perfectionism a foreign value.  Explain that to Sammy Davis, Jr. - but wait to do so until he puts on his tap shoes.  Sammy Davis was perhaps one of our greatest all-around entertainers - a fine singer, a phenomenal dancer, in his craft a perfectionist.  He must have been white. Or we could look to Leontyne Price.  Or Jessye Norman.  They were into perfectionism in a very big way as well.  Maybe they needed training.  Too bad they didn’t know.  Or Miles Davis.  

“Intellectualization” is also alien to non-whites, according to these sessions.  I might be a very un-intellectual type of white person, but I have found some of the most stimulating intellectual thought has been put forward most eloquently by people who identify as non-white.  I think of Walter Williams, Larry Elder, the late David Yeagley (“Bad Eagle), my friend Mike Coachman and economist Thomas Sowell.  These are a small handful who spring to mind in the moment.   

“Objectivity”.   This one is interesting.  Are we all to become “subjective” thinkers or actors?  There is a very important place for objectivity, especially of late.  And to ascribe objectivity as a value to white people only?  Who is the “racist” here?  But we’re just getting started, warming up, as it were.

White people now must delve into their hideous and sinful whiteness and try to reject it - white people, you know, are steeped in and complicit in racism.   White people who engage in “white normative behavior” must back slowly away from it.  What is this “white normative behavior”?  Let’s see - here’s one.  The Seattle school system has identified math as “a tool of oppression”.  Is this supposed to mean that non-white Seattle school children are underperforming in math?  Weh-heh-heh-hell, we wouldn’t want to find ways to help them to excel in math, would we?  Much better to just condemn people who are competent in math as “oppressors”.  This all looks like a recipe for totalitarianism - a people so beaten down and so at each other’s throats that all anyone wants anymore is someone to impose order and do their thinking for them.  

Imposing totalitarianism has never been so easy.   Usually you have people who oppose it.  We have now de facto outlawed objecting to it.  It would be “white normative” of us.  And if someone who objects is not white, that person is a “traitor” somehow - he is using objectivity or intellect or something else that is verboten and off-limits.

One wonders where this might go.  What kinds of bridges will our graduates be designing?  What kinds of dams?  What kinds of computer programs?  What kinds of medical treatments will we advance, if we decide to omit teaching math because it is a “tool of oppression”?  

White people must stay away from other white people who are not “woke” through this kind of training.  Such contacts, with friends or family members who are not on board with this program must be cut.  If white people who have been properly trained don’t sever ties with these unwoke friends and family, they might backslide or stray.  This must inevitably lead to other forms of thought control - banning of books or magazines, radio programs, internet resources - these, too, must inevitably be controlled better.  Didn’t I just read about the Chinese Communist Party closing the libraries in Hong Kong so they could purge them of harmful materials?  But I digress.  Or do I?  And this kind of purge will sweep through the rest of society - maybe a door-to-door search for unacceptable materials, maybe a little surveillance so as to monitor people’s thoughts, a little neighborly reporting on each other for impure or dissident thoughts expressed within hearing?  Where do we stop - or do we stop?  There is no reason to think there is an end to this - the Chinese are proving this.  

This is happening on all fronts.  In St. Paul, recently, a Muslim woman descended upon a Starbucks located in the Midway Target store there.  She ordered a coffee.  The barista asked her name and got it wrong as she wrote it on the cup.  When the Muslim got her coffee she saw “Isis” written on the cup, instead of “Aisha”.  The 16-year-old kid was not familiar with “ISIS” the terrorist movement, nor “Aisha” the unusual ethnic Arab name, but perhaps knew the first name “Isis”, not at all unusual in some hispanic cultures.  You can imagine what happened next.  The only surprise was that the manager backed up his barista.  Now both of them are under attack, along with Target, the corporation, by Aisha (who withheld her last name out of “fear”).  If this woman were white we would dismiss her and ridicule her as a “Karen”, right?  But because of the need to school white America, Aisha partnered with the very available local chapter of CAIR, who have joined her in the demand that both be fired and that the entire Target corporation vet prospective employees for latent “Islamophobia” and institute “in-depth” training of employees in how to treat these special customers - not some “workshop”, mind you - after all, Starbucks closed all their stores for a day just to provide this training to all of their employees after the restroom debacle.  No - a really in-depth program.

I have a better idea.  First, we quit using white people as whipping boys for every perceived problem anyone of another race may have.  Instead, we help to make it possible for these people to overcome their perceived obstacles.  Second, we use our vetting energy in vetting potential immigrants.  If they are not equipped to live in a world where people’s thoughts and behavior are not completely controlled, where all kinds of people with all kinds of life experiences different from theirs already live, if they come here with the idea that they will “reform” America to conform to their previous experiences in the countries they are fleeing, then they should be rejected for immigration.  They should immigrate elsewhere, where the established culture is more restrictive . . . like their homelands in Somalia or Ethiopia or wherever.   In this way we can achieve a more peaceful, less “scary” society for those of us who wish to continue living in freedom.  

We must all accept the opinions of others and expect our own to be challenged on issues.  We must never shut down dissent - EVER - and those who are demanding this must be retrained themselves or, in the case of foreigners, deported forthwith.  We must never allow them to bully the rest of us in an effort to enforce their opinions or preferred totalitarian systems on America.

As to the sorry city of Seattle, the people there are free to decide what they want of their city government.  Do they want CHOP?  Do they want thought control?  Cult programming?  Do they approve of bullying anyone who has a dissenting opinion?  That is up to them.  They have elections.  The last mayor they elected was Jenny Durkan.  Have they learned anything?  If they have, the next election will be their opportunity to let us know, I guess.  If not, Seattle will die.  It will die because the policies promoted by their government will lead to more crime, more unlawful behavior in general, more filth in their streets and a decline in the number of sane people, productive people, entrepreneurs, who are willing to try to buck the system and swim against this tide.  They will leave - they will leave Seattle to these lawless gangsters and the hucksters whose task is to convince the “white normative” people and fellow travellers that it’s their fault. (and make a fortune in taxpayers’ money in so doing).
