SALLY MORRIS: 2020 - FIERY BUT MOSTLY PEACEFUL
In a year which has been distinguished by a lot of managed news, whether it was the idiot Brian Stelter standing in front of a city in flames and calling it a “mostly peaceful protest”, to impossibly fake numbers and statistics regarding coronavirus deaths (labeling fatal falls from ladders and motorcycle accidents “COVID” deaths) to the grand finale - that the pathetic figure of a senile old statist won more votes than any candidate in the history of presidential elections, the American people have been subjected to about eleven months of pure and simple gaslighting.
The only way to hang onto one’s sanity is to understand this and to reject it. Yesterday I shared an article in which it was revealed that in Pennsylvania there were over 202,000 more votes counted than there were voters. You and I understand through simple logic and math that this means there was either 1) a gross error or 2) a gross fraud in the Pennsylvania election result tabulation. As I said, I shared this. An acquaintance of mine, a Democrat, immediately responded with a comment, “This is BS.” Oh? Well, if she were referring to what happened to the vote in Pennsylvania I would agree. That was “BS”. But she meant the story, not the fact referred to in the story.
One might find it odd, among basically honest people, that some of them, who voted for one candidate, tend to want to dig out the truth and expose any problems with voting machines or illegal votes, while those who voted for the other one want to deny that there is a problem - allegations of election fraud or irregularities is “BS”, according to them. It is almost as though they are certain that if illegal votes are thrown out their candidate would lose. That is an interesting presumption. Why don’t they think that this would result in an even bigger win for their candidate? Hmmm.
In Frontpagemag today Daniel Greenfield considers this phenomenon of “fact-checking” with the presumption that allegations, if proven, would benefit one particular candidate. We’ve all heard reference to one of Stalin’s memorable lines, to the effect that it doesn’t matter what the vote is, what matters is who counts the vote and how it is reported. Politifact “fact-checked” this in a sloppy sort of way with the intention of discrediting it and their denial of the fact was just exploded wide open by Greenfield’s source. You won’t want to miss this article because it more or less sums up the kind of response we are all getting when we mention truth or fact. If it’s challenged by a “fact-checker” we can be fairly certain that it is, in fact, true.
It is also an interesting question why Politifact or anyone else on the left is so interested in trying to “debunk” this little historical note. Why should they care whether Stalin said this or not? You know why. It is because the Democrats and the rest of the far left in our own country, in 2020, are behaving a lot like communists. What worked for Stalin seems to work for them. Let’s stop this - nip it in the bud. We need to be unafraid to speak the truth. Just as Hans Christian Andersen observed in “The Emperor’s New Clothes”, it is often more popular to chant along with the rest, who ignore the truth, than to stand firm with what we know is the truth. (Maybe you want to fact-check that.) We need to react against this unreasonable pressure to deny what we see before us. We need to just refuse to be gaslighted. This might be a good New Year's resolution. Oh - and Jeffrey Epstein didn't kill himself.
