SALLY MORRIS:  A LONG OVERDUE CRISIS

The border crisis has become a sort of “constitutional” crisis as Texas Governor Greg Abbott stands firmly behind his policy to secure the border - at least in Eagle Pass.  He has ordered the use of razor wire to accomplish this end.  So far it has been effective in stopping the gap there.  None of this should be surprising or unexpected, really, but in our world it is.

The incredible and unprecedented tsunami of illegal immigration through our border with Mexico is the real cause of the crisis - let’s be honest.  We find our cities and towns experiencing the tragedy of fentanyl deaths, and this is not only kids experimenting with street drugs.  In fact, fentanyl is so deadly that any exposure to it could be fatal.  If that were not enough, we have out-of-control human trafficking, largely of helpless children.  We have violent crime, MS-13 and other gang crime.  Meanwhile our leaders, dwellers of gated communities with armed security, don’t give a dam.

The Biden administration is whining that this razor wire is making it difficult for the Border Patrol to gain access to the border in order to “do their job”.  Spokesmen for the president say Abbot is “getting in the way” and they demand that he stand down and let them take the razor wire down.  Hundreds of thousands of illegal migrants are on the other side waiting to get in.  The federal government says they need to “process” them.  What does this mean?  Processing migrants means to ship them around the United States - to Chicago, New York, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Detroit, you name it.

For months we have been hearing the complaints of panicked mayors in Chicago and New York.  They claim that their cities are disintegrating, that they cannot cope with or absorb this influx of illegal aliens.  Let’s face it - no one wants them in their community.  A lot of virtue-signaling liberals in Massachusetts showed us this when Florida Governor DeSantis sent a load of them to Martha’s VIneyard, the posh stomping grounds of the elites.  It was only a matter of hours before these “culture-enrichers” were on buses out of town - on their way to much less hoity-toity locations in western and upstate New York.  In some areas these people are displacing schoolchildren, taking over schools.   In Canada it’s hotels.  Basically, they are overflowing all available accommodations.  In a recent video we even saw them being stored - for lack of a better word - in curtained-off areas of airports and police stations!  They sleep on our streets and in tent cities in parks.  And wherever they are, crime follows.  It is no longer tolerable.

So Biden’s reaction to Abbott’s constructive action?  His Justice Department ran to the Supreme Court and with the compliance of Trump appointee Amy Coney Barrett (who should be impeached) and old faithful traitor Roberts jumping on board the wagon with reliably liberal justices, the Court found for the federal government, allowing them to go to the Texas border to remove the razor wire.  Meanwhile, under Abbott, the wire keeps going up.  And it’s working.  It is keeping people from coming across the border illegally.  Texas is not budging.

We have a standoff at the moment - Biden threatening to take action against Texas.  It has been suggested that he will “nationalize” the National Guard.   It’s going to be interesting because as more states signed on to support Texas, they are authorizing deploying their National Guard units to the border to help.  If they are all “nationalized”, what, exactly, would happen?  Would the Guard obey a federal command or that of their governors?  Or that of their consciences?  There are other law enforcement agencies at work in Eagle Pass, of course.  A majority of Americans are supporting Abbott.  Even Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., has spoken out strongly in support of securing the border and of the actions being taken by Governor Abbot and the State of Texas.

A very interesting circumstance is that only “red” states - Republican-led states, are officially supporting Texas.  And they are on paper officially doing so.  Democrat states are not.  Illinois, for example, with its emotional Chicago mayor at odds with immigration, and New York with its despondent NYC mayor prophesying the complete deconstruction of his city, are not supporting the effort to stop the flood.  One wonders, really, why not.  Is Biden such a threat to them, such an effective bully, that even the people who are suffering closed schools, tent cities and crime, are not a match for him?  Apparently the people don’t matter in Democrat-run states.  Surprised?

Now a convoy of truckers is heading to the border to show support, while Karine Jean-Pierre keeps repeating that the federal government just wants access to “do its job” - which is to facilitate the invasion.

Will Biden act?  Will he sober up and back off?  Of course Biden himself hasn’t anything to do with any of this - it’s someone else, that shadow government none of us knows about.  But the next move goes to whoever is making these decisions in his stead.

Next will be a program by Texas to arrest and deport illegals.  It is very late in the day to undertake this - might be too little too late.  It is probably a do-or-die moment for Abbott with his own constituency at this point.  For the rest of us, perhaps it is “better late than never”.  An interesting story adjacent to this is that of a retired FBI agent who has sounded the alarm about the literal army of foreign nationals - military age men, for the most part - who are here in our country, in our midst, perhaps awaiting orders to make war on us from within our borders.  Will America survive its “constitutional crisis” brought on by a corrupt federal government and a compromised Supreme Court?  Will we survive the invasion itself?  We have an economic crisis and a national security crisis here.

Abbott's response is long overdue - one reason why conservative Allen West has challenged him, albeit, unsuccessfully.  In any case, a response is needed and welcome to most Americans.

The next weeks will be very interesting.
