I’m going to ask something from you today.  I know our own election process is a whirlwind and the charges and counter charges are flying on all sides.  I want you to take a moment out, however, for America - not Trump’s America or Biden’s America, but OUR America, the one founded in 1776.  I’m linking here an article which, although fairly inclusive of many aspects of our relations with China, is also succinct.  It is worth your turning off the noise and devoting yourself to taking in what China expert Gordon Chang has to tell us about what is going on.  

It should be clear now, after the spread of the Chinese coronavirus, that our Number One Enemy is China.  It is China that would like to see America destabilized.  The significant thing to bear in mind when considering the all-encompassing threat of China is that that country is not under civil control.  Xi Jinping is not the “strong man” we might imagine.  His military leaders, to whom he is beholden in his own seat of power in China, are out of his control.  We ask ourselves, why on earth would China be burning its bridges all over the world when so much was going their way just a couple of years ago, even until last January?  I have wondered this myself.  The answer is:  China is now controlled by its military leaders, not its civil authority.   This should concern us all very deeply and very urgently.  Things are likely to happen fast with regard to China.  We can expect them to attack Taiwan in some way.  Should we care about this?  I leave it to you to answer, but first, read Chang’s analysis.  You will find it disturbing but important to know - like knowing your house is on fire.
