You are an alien being from a planet far, far away.  You have just beamed down to Planet Earth and find yourself in a country where the population is divided among different “races” - mostly distinguished by the color of their skin.  There are white people, various shades of brown and tan people, black people and even some slightly sallow, “yellow” people.  These people live in the countryside and many live in great, throbbing, busy cities.  As you look closer you see some really odd behavior.

There are some people setting fire to other people’s businesses!  Many of these people seem to be white but they are chanting that “black lives ‘matter’” and are carrying signs with slogans.  These white people seem to have taken disaffected black people under their wing in a patronizing sort of way.  The disaffected black people seem to be a minority among black people.  Most of the black people have businesses - they have shops and sell things, little pubs, restaurants, barber shops and various other services to offer.  These are being burned down and these people are very, very upset.  

Some of these people who are gathered in the streets are breaking windows and stealing - they are “looting” in the parlance of the earthlings.  The things they are taking belong to the stores and they are not buying them - just breaking windows and taking things and running with them.  You see some - a few - who are giving orders, handing out supplies.  You realize they are leading a terror campaign against the peaceful earthlings.

What puzzles you is the reaction of the people who hold the high offices - some are “mayors”, some “governors” and there is one who is called the “president”.  Some of these - the majority - are encouraging the mayhem you witness.  The main guy, the “president” is sending messages of no importance out on his little phone while this is going on. No one is telling anyone to stop setting fires and breaking windows.  

It is really strange to see how earthlings handle flare ups.  You watch from your flying saucer through the little round windows and listen through the sound-transmitting skin of your vehicle.  

Here are some facts;  76.3% of these earthlings are “white”, 13.4% are “black”, 5.9% are “Asian”, 1.3% are “indigenous” or “Indian” and there are “hispanics” of all races included.  There are 3% or so unaccounted for, according to your manifest, which applies directly to that part of Earth called “America”.  .  

It appears that the overwhelming white majority wishes to live in harmony and go about their business, with a few notable exceptions who team up with a minority of the 13.4% of the black group who don’t want to do constructive work and think that anyone who does is somehow “corrupt”.  This tiny minority is very effective in creating problems among all of the other members of earthling society.  At least in the part of earth called “America”.  

This tiny group of - shall we call them “troublemakers”? - have managed to team up with local elected government officials to restrict the behavior and compromise the opportunities of the rest of the black and white people to do their work and live their lives in peace, while concurrently encouraging the destruction of constructive work and businesses by rioting.  These officials are not only refusing to stop the burning and looting and the sullying and destruction of property, both private and public, but are going further, demanding that their peaceful workers attend brainwashing sessions at their own expense, using so-called “vacation” days (days for which people normally are paid but do not have to work).  People go because they are afraid not to, not because they want to or think they will benefit.  

People’s speech and writing is also controlled by this tiny minority group, joined by the group of people who are supposed to provide “platforms” - the press, for example, and “social media”.

You, as an extraterrestrial alien on an intergalactic mission are at a loss.  You are supposed to file a report.  It is supposed to be logical.  But none of the data you have been able to cull from your visit to the “America” part of Planet Earth computes.  Why?  Why is an overwhelming majority of seemingly intelligent (at least in Earth terms) and apparently able-bodied American Earthlings submitting to being controlled and abused by a tiny minority of unproductive rabble? 

Are there any other issues you can write up?  Well . . . some people are fighting for the right to kill their children and get help in killing their elders.  That doesn’t make any sense.  The younger earthlings want to give up their freedom.  That doesn’t make any sense.  Some of them want to not let anyone else heat their homes or drive cars.  That doesn’t make any sense.  There is a campaign against plastic straws.  The majority of peaceful Americans are paying a lot of money to support schools which teach their children to hate them and their country and to question what sex they are and to ask to be made the other sex, whichever it is; they also have male earthlings dressed as female "hookers" (an undesirable earthling trade) come and tell them stories,  and so-called "conservatives" (the constructive, working people) are eager for these schools to reopen so they can send their children there.  No logic there. Oh!  Here's something - there is a growing movement to "defund" and "dismantle" the police as a reaction to the . . . rioting?  No.

In dismay you realize the truth.  You just can’t write this report.   You just don’t dare go home.
