SALLY MORRIS:  AMERICAN FOREIGN POLICY - “A SACK OF POTATOES”

Yesterday I felt almost remiss in not writing about the confirmation hearings for Judge Amy Coney Barrett.  But I thought, oh, well, the issues swirling about our relationships with China were really important too - I can write something about these hearings tomorrow.  Silly me.  Today we have a sort-of new issue.  It is adjunct to the fairly well-known corruption of the entire Biden family in general and Hunter and his dad Joe in particular, with regard to Burisma, the Ukranian gas company on whose board of directors the well-qualified Hunter sat and from which he drew over $50,000/month in pay.

Today’s news (or rather last night’s news) is not that Hunter and his father are career crooks, which we all knew, but that the evidence which makes the story incontrovertible is so toxic to the left that Twitter and Facebook are banning any links to the story published by the legitimate news outlet, New York Post.  White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, for one, was silenced on Twitter, her account suspended, because she linked to the story.

It is as if an iron curtain has fallen over the dissemination of information which would cast embarrassment or shame on specific favored individuals.  No doubt, the same standard would be applied to, say, Barack or Michelle Obama, or Kamala Harris by Twitter and Facebook.  You can say some things, but not the things that would damage their image in the eyes of the public.  Even if these things are both important and true.

Just for fun, I will link my article today to Facebook and Twitter and see what happens.  Both of these sites seem to be over-representative of a combination of intellectual fluff and leftist venom.

The essence of the New York Post article, which you can find here, is that 1) Hunter Biden was involved in very shady dealings with Burisma; 2) Joe Biden flat-out lied when he claimed that Hunter’s business dealings were unknown to him; 3) Hunter is a crack addict who is predictably irresponsible with his emails and his laptop; 4) the FBI which first received the damaging evidence was also corrupt in that in some 20 months, nothing whatsoever was done with the information and 5) the social media - Twitter and Facebook - have basically assumed the form of Team Biden for purposes of this election year by blocking transmission of the information on their “platforms” (publications, in other words) and suspending people who attempt to link the story.  One, as mentioned above, being Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany.

It seems that, just as with the Constitutionally challenging issue of court-packing, Joe Biden figures the less we know about him and his plans the better.  But there’s more.  Keep watching.  Hunter, for all his other sloth, was a pretty busy little businessman worldwide - he has reportedly benefited to the tune of some $10 million through his Chinese communist connection, CEFC, another energy company that can’t get along without Hunter’s expertise.  The Biden name it appears, is a gift that keeps on giving.  It is the key to untold wealth - money you and I can’t even imagine, and as long as there are corrupt foreign governments and we remain in the dark about all of this, the spigot stays open.  No wonder Facebook and Twitter are so defensive.    No wonder a communist-controlled Chinese newspaper has endorsed Joe Biden.  But then none of this is “election tampering”, is it?  Surely not.
