SALLY MORRIS: CAN YOU HANDLE THE TRUTH ABOUT COVID-19?
Is anyone else out incensed that we are being manipulated and routinely misled and lied to about something that is so profoundly affecting our lives (and deaths) as COVID-19? It is arguable that the “pandemic” which has literally ground America to a halt is a game to some while a life-altering and destroying event to others. We need to rise up against this campaign of lies.
How serious are we, really, about dealing with the “pandemic” of COVID-19? I mean, some people seem very agitated when it comes to the wEaring of ineffectual paper or cloth masks. Those not wearing masks have been violently assaulted, verbally shamed, not admitted to public places and, as a result, have restricted their activities to those places where they can go about their business in relative peace. It used to be a no-brainer in a free society that a business tried to please a customer and encourage his custom. Today, however, we have what amounts to mask thugs - supported by government thugs like the otherwise reticent Governor Walz of Minnesota (unwilling to call on the National Guard when cities are in flames) - controlling the businesses and conscripting sales clerks and checkout girls as “enforcers” of mask policies.
I would not presume to tell a store what to do (and neither should Governor Walz or the rest of his ilk), as a private citizen. If McDonald’s wants to require its customers to put on a filthy face covering in order to buy a hamburger, that may seem a strange business plan, but, hey, it’s their plan, not mine. There are lots of even better reasons not to go to a McDonald’s. This is just one more. A local grocery store chain is strong-arming the mask orders. Even though the government is not paying them to act as its agents, their personnel are putting in a lot of hours enforcing, following customers about, confronting them, etc. Meanwhile, in the local Walmart, masks are required, but no one is being obnoxious. I shop at Walmart for my grocerieS now because I don’t appreciate the prison-yard atmosphere in the local Hugo’s stores. I have no experience with the Grand Forks outlets recently, so I don’t refer to them here - just the Minnesota variety.
A friend became quite heated about this. He is 90 and understandably concerned about the risks of contracting COVID-19. I don’t blame him. He won’t shop where mask-wearing is not enforced. That is definitely his prerogative and certainly he seems to believe that these masks make a difference. I would point to the success of Sweden, not a nation I normally look to for good policy. However, in the case of this “pandemic” they have done far better than America. They do not use masks. Virtually at all. They have remained open for business the whole time and their useless schools as well. According to statistics, only 4% of Swedes use face masks - 96% do not. Their performance has been remarkable in contrast with the rest of the world. Taiwan has done well, but their success seems to have been based on their foreknowledge of the Chinese communists and they began screening and quarantining travelers immediately and thoroughly, so this could have been the chief reason for their ability to deal with the problem. Never trust the Chinese government - a good rule to follow.
What is disturbing with our response is that it has been 100% political. There are two teams playing ping pong here. The president and the media/Democrat team are going at it and the people down here below are the ping pong ball they bat around. People like my nonagenarian friend, like the Karens in the marketplace, like those who decline to wear masks. We’re all the ping pong balls. Here is what I mean: If Trump decides that in the face of a growing epidemic he should limit international flights entering the U.S. from highly-infected areas such as China, he is immediately attacked by the left/media for being “racist”. This, by the way, includes presumptive presidential candidate Joe Biden. True, Trump should have sealed this off sooner, but when he did there was an outcry. Then, once the disease began spreading, he was blamed for “doing nothing to stop it” - by the same people who excoriated him for shutting down some international travel into the country. Then he assembled a group of “experts” including Drs. Fauci and Birx, two self-interested individuals who first advised against ordinary people wearing masks - they were ineffective in this kind of use, according to these “experts”. They should be reserved for “first responders” and caregivers attending the sick. Was this because no one had thought to stockpile masks? Suddenly there was a mad scramble to produce ventilators and masks. Automobile manufacturers retooled to build ventilators while a pillow manufacturer in Minneapolis turned his force to the production of masks. Many decried 3M, a major producer of masks, for its position. Well, they could no longer take a position. They had set up their production using Chinese labor and China basically had them, let’s say, under control. All of 3M’s products went to China, not to the U.S.
Of course there was inevitably blame for Trump because we didn’t have enough of these supplies and equipment. He turned to the private sector for solutions and these solutions were very quickly forthcoming. Next, he asked for input on drug treatment and prevention. Surprisingly, a well-established drug already approved for use in treatment of malaria showed great promise. This should have been greeted with enthusiasm from all quarters - a safe drug, well-known for its effectiveness already in one area showing positive results in a disease we knew nothing about - a “novel coronavirus” - a mystery pandemic. What’s not to like here?
Well, what wasn’t to like is that no one was going to make money on this. Where the pandemic was a horrific, life-threatening, economy-destroying specter to most, it was a prospective gold mine and career-maker to others. Bill Gates and others of his kind had whipped into action to create a miracle vaccine. People are becoming less excited about using vaccines as they become better informed. And a vaccine is a really good scheme because there is really no downside to creating something in the lab at midnight. Since 1989, vaccine producers have been off the hook for damage their witches’brews cause. They are held harmless for loss of life or other egregious damages - autism, birth defects, mental dysfunction or lack of development, cancers, you name it. Scot-free. What’s not to love about this investment? Add to that other motives such as using humans as experimental guinea pigs or developing sophisticated tracking systems. We have seen the turn our electronic technology has taken - if you doubt this, just study China. (Some excellent sources of information about this include the Epoch Times, China in Focus and Crossroads with Joshua Philipp. I highly recommend you check these out if you care about what is coming next for us.) Suffice it to say that between patented drugs like Remdesivir and the prospect of billions in profiteering from vaccine schemes, poor old hydroxychloroquine didn’t stand a chance.
This time-tested and very safe drug was immediately castigated by the insiders, the left, the media, and the fact that Donald Trump supported its use where indicated (and took the drug prophylactically himself) was enough to deep-six its use. Recently, for some reason, experts, not in the pay of Big Pharma apparently, and responding to their own knowledge and their own conscience, have braved the contumely of the media and its installed “experts” and revealed to those who will listen, the benefits of this drug in combination with other safe drugs and supplements (such as zinc, well-known as necessary to the immune function). Last week a group of these physicians - people who have been actually treating the sick rather than throwing out the first pitch at baseball games - held a “lab coat press conference” wherein they acclaimed the success they have seen with the use of these well-established drugs. These people are not trying to make a profit off of development and sale of some new product, they are not even selling masks to the victims of the political game. They wanted us to know that this disease is treatable with a huge degree of success (one of these practitioners has reported 100% success) in the use of these safe drugs.
Yesterday I watched a short video of a Florida O.D. who has treated COVID patients with 100% success using hydroxychloroquine in combination with other standard drugs and supplements. He reported that pharmacies refuse to fill his prescriptions. He has been using the drug for 20 years to treat lupus patients with no adverse reactions. This is an incredible abuse of/against the public.
Today I just read another account (in Glenn Beck’s Blaze website) wherein a Yale professor, Dr. Harvey Risch, in an interview with Laura Ingraham, has insisted that hydroxychloroquine is effective, safe and, had it been used where appropriate, could have saved 75,000 to 100,000 lives. Please read this again: it could have saved 75,000 to 100,000 lives had it been used.
If someone I knew and loved had died of this - or even had died of something else because due to COVID-19 appropriate treatment they needed was not available, I would be seeing red. In fact I am anyway. What kind of people withhold, or causes through their efforts to be withheld, a life-saving drug or treatment? Withholds it while at the same time pushing to shut down a nation’s entire economy, putting our country’s security at risk, have hobbled our people and coerced them into wearing masks inappropriately and ineffectively, who have denied hundreds of thousands of people the comfort of contact with loved ones, some of them for a few last minutes, who are promoting patent medications less tested than hydroxychloroquine, who actively promote - with the intent to force upon us - highly questionable and likely to be dangerous vaccines for profit? What kind of people are these? What kind of people monitor Twitter and Facebook and take down people’s communication when they venture into consideration of this “pandemic” which has become so precious to them, who punish those who speak up or ask questions or offer sound information that is not part of the narrative?
Isn’t it time to take them down? Let’s.
