In North Dakota we are particularly tuned to our weather - in the middle of the continent we are subject to temperature extremes. I’m particularly sensitive to cold, but a lot of people find warm weather uncomfortable. Either way, we cannot prosper if we do not occasionally try to beat Mother Nature at her game. The environmental movement would llike to stop us dead in our tracks, though. Although our summer has been on the “mild” side (actually a bit disappointing to me), Europe has been staggering under an intense heat wave, with temperatures mounting to over 100 degrees F.
Unfortunately for them, their governments have bought into the environmental scam and thus air conditioning is rare on the continent. Daniel Greenfield has an interesting take on the fatal worship of Mother Earth in Europe along with a good dose of history.
