SALLY MORRIS: FREE SPEECH? OR ANOTHER PART OF THE MATRIX?
Well, I suppose we need to talk about this. After all, it is all we are hearing about right now. Elon Musk has taken over Twitter. We are supposed to cheer about this. Frankly, it won’t matter all that much to me. Years ago I opened a Twitter account to support my music business. Since that day I have never posted anything there. It just didn’t seem worth the trouble, for one thing.
But, “Yay!” we are supposed to say to this takeover. I don’t really care. Most people who have not been banned already on Twitter and gone to other outlets aren’t really worth hearing from, in the first place. In the second place, why does anyone want to cheer for Elon Musk? Are his words that important? If they are, then we should hear more of them.
Musk recently said he wanted to implant a chip in everyone’s brain. He is promoting driverless cars. His electric cars are junk that periodically explode. He wants to “go to space” but you can be sure he won’t be manning any of his proposed flights. That’s for his guinea pigs. And that is what he sees the rest of us as, of course. His inferiors, his subjects. Twitter is just like the silly crown and scepter they trot out in Britain for state occasions to impress the little folks.
Some are hyping the idea that this is a triumph for free speech, and the wailing, hysterical Twitter employees are putting on quite a show to reinforce this impression. But is it really? Why does a multi-billionaire want free speech for you or for me? He doesn’t. He’s not George Washington. He’s Elon Musk. He thinks we are not cognitive, intelligent, cultured human beings with souls. He thinks we are the kind of crap that need his brain chips in order to be useful to him. He is not going to be a champion of individual liberty. He’s playing the very people he scorns the most - conservatives.
We’ve seen his kind before - they come and we wish they would go. Musk is just a sort of hyper version of it. He is laughing at you even as you eagerly sign up for his “service”. You might want to give this some time and some very serious consideration before you do, before you pile up the personal information in Musk’s data bank. Musk’s Twitter will provide him with vast stores of information he should not have about you or whomever else he enrolls in his experiment. In the future his microchips will make you his slave. I guess at least it is up to you - no one is forcing you into his power. Enough sheep will sign up all on their own.
It has been rumored that for some reason Jack Dorsey was in favor of this. Gee. I wonder if that is possible. Sounds just a little weird, doesn’t it? What is also weird is how fast this all happened. Makes one just a tad suspicious, doesn’t it? Or is this just another case of “right-wing paranoia”?
Elon Musk is just a higher IQ version of Bill Gates. Where Gates simply piggy-backed on the evil designs and research of his minions, Musk is more capable of hatching his own schemes. They are a sort of tag team, though, with Gates working overtime on his angle of bio-control through takeover of our farmland and consequent famine and developing killer vaccines and mosquitoes with no attempt to hide his intentions of genocide, Musk is gathering more and more information. When he decides to make his move on you it will be even swifter than his takeover of Twitter. They are both just two sides of the same coin. Gates is tails, Musk is heads. They are just unequal brothers in the same family of wicked manipulators. They both have also mastered the art of getting you to do their spade work. While Gates is getting you onboard with his depopulation program voluntarily, through his “caucus-race” hype of Covid-19, Musk is martialing you through the phony “climate change” gag into promoting his little electric-and-soon-to-be-driverless cars. What do you suppose will be next, once we have a computer driving our cars? Continued liberty? Freedom of movement at will? Don’t make me laugh.
Elon Musk is no more a hero of freedom than Klaus Schwab, his personal mentor. We cannot believe that such a genius was merely duped by Schwab, can we? Musk’s Neuralink, the company which is pioneering in the area of transhumanism (human brain as a component of AI through the chip) was sold to us as a way to overcome physical disabilities such as paralysis. Interestingly, the guy who just hit a homer for “free speech” has been developing a technology which has been said to be “developing a 'whole brain interface', essentially a network of tiny electrodes linked to your brain that the company envisions will allow us to communicate wirelessly with the world - it would enable us to share our thoughts, fears, hopes and anxieties without demeaning ourselves with written or spoken language.” (Christopher Markou, Daily Mail) Hmm. Are we just transitioning from the written word to the wordless connection? Whatever happened to private thoughts, by the way? And how far is that down the road from “individual liberty” and “free speech”? Inside the mind of Elon Musk you can be sure it is all coming together - the cars that don’t need us, the social media that doesn’t need us. The ability to think that no longer needs us. Weird, isn’t it? Is it a miracle of science? Is it a part of the Matrix? The implications here are sobering indeed.
I shall wait to cheer. I think I shall wait a long time. Call it my innate pessimism, call it my paranoid reactionism. It is bred of a lot of betrayals - and so should yours be.
