SALLY MORRIS: IMMIGRATION FIGURES . . . AND FACTS
In his 2008 book, The Case Against Immigration (Legal and Illegal) author Mark Krikorian gave us graphic details of the true costs financial, political and in terms of freedom, of immigration. We have first to eliminate the illegal form as far as we possibly can. Instead, we have for decades now, facilitated it, much to our detriment as a sovereign nation. We have done so at great cost and at risk of our future. Krikorian was not alone. Other wise thinkers have counseled us against this carelessness. One of the foremost has been Lt. Col. Allen West, who served South Florida in Congress. In January of 2019, he warned us again. Now we have some numbers, just released by the Washington Examiner. They should shock you. They mean that the likelihood is great that you may be personally affected.
We need to consider the fact that these aliens have dispersed throughout the United States. We should keep this in mind when we allow our counties and cities to welcome "refugees". We must make sure that these "refugees" are the real thing, people who value American life, who want to see America continue and succeed, not people who want to remake it in the image of Saudi Arabia or Iran or Iraq. (Here is a link to my petition to welcome Christian refugees who have been persecuted - please share it.) We must make sure that anyone we allow into the United States in, say, Polk County, will be welcomed also in Burleigh County or Brown County, because once they are in Crookston or East Grand Forks there is nothing to keep them there. Anyone in East Grand Forks is free to travel or move to Bismarck, Williston, Jamestown, Alexandria or wherever they wish. So Trump's policy of passing the buck to counties and other local jurisdictions does nothing to protect our choices. Just rememer this. Perhaps it would be useful to hold the "local jurisdiction" which admitted anyone who becomes a criminal or terrorist accountable and sue that jurisdiction for the adverse result of their decision. I'm sure they would try to tell us it is against public policy to hold taxpayers accountable, but who else should we blame? This is a serious decision and in many venues it has been taken very lightly, influenced heavily by mob demonstrations. We should take names and numbers and watch the results.
