On this Constitution Day, September 17, 2012, we have yet one more threat to our Bill of Rights:  Islamists half a world away and their accomplice in the White House.  For Obama’s dream team has decided to put it out that it was the obscure, homemade youtube product of an immigrant Coptic Christian and the First Amendment which allowed him to proceed with his project which sparked the vicious attacks on our embassies around the world and resulted in the deaths of several Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens in Benghazi. 

The absurdity of this claim has already been ridiculed and refuted by the Libyan president himself, who declared that the attacks were planned well in advance; in fact, his government had provided advance notice to our government.  Of course our government, under Barack Obama, did not see fit to notify Mr. Stevens.  The success of these attacks was pretty much a foregone conclusion inasmuch as our Marine guards did not have ammunition but held dummy guns.   What did we expect?  Add to this a wealth of information, both data garnered through intelligence and the bitter experience of our own soldiers in Afghanistan being shot by the very troops they were assisting and training, and the overall atmosphere of hatred of the West is hard to miss.  Except, perhaps, by Obama the Infallible. 

He is so infallible, instinctively, that he need not even attend his intelligence briefings – prepared for him alone – for months leading up to this.  Just days before, it had been remarked in the “alternative” press that he had missed more than 43% of these national security briefings throughout his term.  His arrogance is such that the significance of the day being the Eleventh Anniversary of Nine Eleven was simply ignored.  The alternative view is that the violence was expected and planned for by Obama and his team. 

Just a few weeks ago, Obama and his henchmen, including John Boehner in the House, excoriated sensible and concerned members of Congress, notably Michele Bachmann, when they called for an investigation of the infiltration of our State Department by the Muslim Brotherhood.  These representatives of the people were libeled as “hatemongers”, bigots, xenophobes, racists, you name it. It is the Muslim Brotherhood, of course, that is behind the “demonstrations” which culminated in Benghazi in the brutal rape and murder of our Ambassador there.  Let us not forget, either, that Ambassador Stevens was a great champion of the “Arab Spring” that has spawned the killing and burning. 

So, while Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu was urgently requesting an audience with the Great Man, he was dallying at interviews with the Pimp with the Limp and David Letterman.  He was too busy rallying and fund-raising and campaigning to hold a conversation with the man who is perhaps our only remaining ally in the region.  After all, Obama himself seems unsure even as to which nations are and are not our allies – is Egypt?  Or not?

So the Administration sewed it all up, with UN Ambassador Susan Rice putting in the final stitch, as a reaction (perfectly understandable, of course) to a youtube video which most Americans, not to mention the goatherds, tinkers and nomads of the dunes of North Africa, have never seen.  Never mind that if we should be expecting these over-reactions to our culture someone should have jerked Joe Biden’s chain for his brilliant slogan: “Osama’s dead but GM is alive!” Or, for that matter, Obama’s own chain (wait a minute – can we still use the word “chain” after Biden’s recent gaffe?) for having “perpetrated” the “outrage” that resulted in Osama Bin Laden’s killing this spring.  You know when you think about it, this is the FIRST 9-11 since that killing.  That killing of Bin Laden is actually the point of pride for Obama’s foreign “policy”.  He has trumpeted it from coast to coast.  It was his big moment of “heroism”, albeit from the safe haven of America and his Secret Service.  Why WOULDN’T we expect a big commemoration this year?  It’s all Obama’s fault after all! And a movie proclaiming his “exploits” will be out soon. 

Nonetheless, we will hear on the half hour, regularly, about developments flowing from the “reaction to the reprehensible youtube video”.  The film maker has been hauled in for questioning – in the middle of the night.  Our First Amendment rights are once more under attack.  (What did Rahm Emanuel say about not letting a crisis go to waste?) Meanwhile we will hear more disinformation from this Administration.  Even in telling us about the murder of our Ambassador, Hillary and Barack came out with a heartwarming description of our “friends” in Libya “carrying” Stevens’ body to the hospital (no one asked them why not an ambulance or even a car) when, in fact, our “friends” were dragging the brutalized corpse through the streets a la Mogadishu.  There is no end to the contempt in which they hold our collective IQ. 

Someone sent Sean Hannity an explanation of things.  The real cause of World War II is now determined to have been a “Three Stooges” short wherein Moe is playing Hitler.  Obviously, this would have been enough to cause the very stones of Berlin to rise and mutiny.  Even Hitler himself would have been unable to restrain the Luftwaffe after they got wind of this mocking and blasphemy by the Three Stooges.  I’m glad to have that cleared up.  Good news for Neville Chamberlain, anyway.  He’s off the hook.

So, as we celebrate our Constitution, we are watching it being unraveled by the busy hands of the Obama Administration with the aid of the Muslim fanatics, film makers (of the “wrong” persuasion, at least) are being dragged out of bed in the dark of night for interrogation and we are to be impressed with the risk involved in the exercise of our time-honored rights.  (Maybe we are supposed to just forget about them in the name of “good taste”?)  The circus with the media continues, as they attack the Republican candidate for President for suggesting any other view.  And on the morning after the rape and murder of our Ambassador, as our embassies around the world, from Libya to Obama’s homeland of Indonesia in flames and Iran “weeks” from wielding nuclear warheads, our President skipped another intelligence briefing. 

We need a new leader.
