SALLY MORRIS: PANDEMIC OF MADNESS

Is anyone else out there getting sick of the madness?  Is there any place where the remaining sane people could establish an independent enclave of their own?  We have one now for the criminally insane, the extortionists, the urban terrorists - who employ tactics we used to associate with gangland  warfare.  We have seen ignorant, babbling idiots out in fancy dress incoherently raving about being “anti-fascist” as they relentlessly desecrate every memorial and statue in sight honoring those who actually did fight against fascism, paying with their lives for the freedom these soy blobs of cells are using to spray graffiti on monuments a once-grateful nation dedicated to their memory.

In Seattle these terrorists have seceded and set up “CHAZ” - the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone  whose inspiration was to abolish the legitimate police only to begin their own version of “stop and frisk”, extortion of  local captive businesses with threats to those which don’t support their “revolution” and a second-string rapper no one has ever heard of before has announced that he is the police in CHAZ.  Oh, and they are running out of food so someone had better send them something - stat.  This isn’t the weird part.  The weird part is that this is all accomplished with the blessings of the mayor of Seattle, who was presumably elected as mayor of the whole city - so those who voted for her who are located within the area currently dubbed “CHAZ” have been disenfranchised.  In case you are wondering, the governor of Washington, like Sergeant Schultz, knows nothing about that.  Those who didn’t vote for Durkan at least can console themselves that it wasn’t their candidate who surrendered their freedom and American citizenship.  We are waiting to see how the president addresses this secession.

Meanwhile, back on the other coast, the New York state legislature has augmented something called the “green light” law, which granted illegal immigrants the so-called “privileged” of drivers’ licenses without any other ID required, to make it a felony for any law enforcement officer of any kind or jurisdiction to share information about these privileged alien drivers vis-a-vis crime, with the federal government or its agencies - such as the FBI or ICE, etc.  Obviously this is a serious threat to national security.  Oh, well, I guess the generation born since 9-11 that has now reached adulthood - or what should have been adulthood - needs to learn first-hand what this “national security” nonsense is all about.  And related to this abuse of law and citizenship, are the clever machinations on the part of corporate giants to side-step immigration law to import workers as though they were “interns” or some sort of students.  The effect of these schemes would be to extend indefinitely the stays of foreign workers holding student visas, etc., to displace American workers - a really great idea as we are trying to recover an economy ravaged by government shutdowns and now rioting.  It is another question what Trump intends to do about this.  We should be looking at ways of investing in American workers, American manufacturing - especially now that we have seen what it means when the entire world’s goods are made in the People’s Republic of China.  It actually rises to another issue of national security for two reasons - first, we are putting foreign nationals in some important, key positions in our industry and secondly because we will remain dependent on foreign goods or foreign workers while Americans line up for unemployment.

Hmm. Let’s see.  Well, things must have calmed down a lot in Baltimore.  It seems that police now have time to answer emergency calls to check out video from the spycams on schoolchildren’s laptops.  Years ago I believe I warned against kids bringing laptops home from their public schools.  Like our refrigerators and vacuum cleaners, it seems they are spying on us.  A naive mother answered her door in Baltimore County, MD, to find a policeman.  She stupidly allowed him to enter her home.  He was looking for weapons in the house.  It seems that some sharp-eyed “teacher” spotted a BB gun in the background while the 11-year-old boy was doing his school work.  It isn’t enough to have school at home - it needs to be home school, un-monitored by any public school spies.  She and the son were traumatized, as I’m sure I would be, by this intrusion.  If only these resources could be repurposed for . . . law enforcement?  In the meantime, parents, please put some electrical tape over the camera lens on your kid’s computer as well as your own.  God only knows what other purposes this intrusive footage might be put to.  Privacy is important - it equals personal safety and security.

As someone just commented, 2020 is a sh-t show.
