SALLY MORRIS: PRESIDENT A.K.A. FINDS ARIZONA PUTS A ‘HITCH IN HIS GITALONG’

Arizona has thrown a small wrench into the works of Democrats’ “Plan B”, or fallback option.  In the face of mounting hostility to its programs and awareness of the flawed underlying political philosophy by an increasingly angry and activated voting public, it appears that only a massive version of “Ballot Box 13” can turn the trick and pull the Democrat chestnuts out of the inferno.  The current edition of the tried-and-true method would depend on illegal aliens voting by means of “amnesty”.  This is the reason for the hysterical race baiting on the Left in reaction to the people of Arizona acting in their own defense.

After years of failure by the federal government to enforce the law, secure our borders and protect innocent lives and property, the state legislature of Arizona, supported by Governor Jan Brewer, finally behaved like the sovereign state they are and passed a law to enforce existing federal laws. This tempest is, in fact, for a sort of redundancy.  One wouldn’t think it even necessary to pass a law to enforce a law.  So now – oh, my God! – if you are in the United States illegally, and you drive 30 miles over the speed limit through a red light, and you get pulled over, the cop may ask where you’re from and to see your ID.  Shocking, isn’t it? People who should have better sense are comparing this to Auschwitz – thus likening gangsters who terrorize the innocent to the blameless Jewish victims of the Nazi ovens, and peace officers attempting to safeguard life and property in Arizona to Nazi thugs, thus trivializing one of the most horrific crimes in modern history.  Such is the sense of desperation on the Left.  Americans will soon quit listening.

But there is yet another serpent in the story.  That is Republican support for illegal aliens.  Certain employers with representatives on both sides of the aisle have chosen to profit by cheap labor provided by this “open-border” situation.  Republicans need to repudiate this.  I’ve written before about new-age slavery.  It is immoral on so many grounds. Those who avail themselves of this perk are taking advantage of people who must work “under the radar” and for less than the going rate of pay.  At the same time they support the law breaking, the abductions, the drugs, the torment and murder of our own citizens as a by-product, and even the dissolution of our national sovereignty.  These “businessmen” – in reality accessories after the fact – probably fly our flag, they maybe are even veterans themselves, but they don’t care much about their country.

As Conservatives we need to stop permitting Republicans to support this “cheap labor” argument.  There is no such thing as a job no American will do!  That is simply a convenient lie.  With double-digit unemployment stretching into the unforeseeable future, we don’t require this cheap labor.  The only ones who require illegal aliens are the Democrats, who want their vote, just as they want to register the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico in their column.

Republicans who shill for crony capitalists who subvert the marketplace system of supply and demand are no better than the pro-slave Democrats of the 1850’s.  We must reject and repudiate them and what they stand for and we should thank and support Arizona for stepping up and taking responsibility.  We should take Jeb Bush – in fact, let’s take the whole Bush family - out behind the woodshed for a good hiding for their role in this betrayal.  All they seem to be able to do is make Republicans look bad to patriotic Americans.  The Republican party would do well to distance itself from this family and its association with Nancy Pelosi and her vineyards.  They are the poster child for our need to more carefully vet our leaders before giving them the key to the White House.  It is not only our current president who has imposed upon us.

We need to insist that employers who hire illegal aliens are punished to the full extent of the law.  Some years ago, as a result of a glitch in a computer system, I was unable to get a current ID card from Minnesota.  My employer actually held up my paychecks – unreasonably, I felt, inasmuch as I had the receipt to prove I had the ID in the works, and while I do not have ancestors who arrived on the Mayflower, I do have them who fought in the American Revolution.  I felt entitled to my check.  But if my employer can stand firm there is no reason why they can’t all do so.  This would end very quickly the flow across the border.  It would also send Nancy Pelosi to jail.  Not a bad day’s work at that.  If we hold everyone accountable to the law of the land we will be all right.  If, on the other hand, we continue our pattern of winking at corruption – and we now know it has reached the highest offices – America cannot long endure.  For no foreign threat and no natural catastrophe can do the damage to our country that this treachery and corruption has done.

The current fury is a clear indication that Conservatives need to be vigilant.  We haven’t won yet.  Everyone should contact the governor of his state and ask that he issue a statement of support for the action taken last week by Governor Brewer.  The courage shown by her state might help to protect many of us in other states heretofore less vulnerable.  For make no mistake, the problems now being visited on Arizona, first by marauding illegal aliens and then by a hostile federal government, will eventually touch us all.  Arizona should not be left out to dry.  We should send a firm message to those who are criticizing and demonstrating that we will have none of it and that we cast our lot with Arizona!
