SALLY MORRIS: PUTTING A CONTRACT OUT ON PUTIN
Who’s next? Are we going to start a sort of Murder Incorporated here in our State Department at the urging of the demented Lindsay Graham or what? And is Graham the 21st Century’s Albert Anastasia?
It would seem that the very last thing on earth we should be doing is suggesting world-wide coups d’etat against various leaders we don’t agree with. Graham has called for someone to murder Vladimir Putin. We are talking about calling for assassinations of a leader of a nuclear power here. We have a problem because Putin invaded a former satellite nation on his border that was threatening to become his nation’s enemy. While we don’t like that and ought to discourage it, we can’t run around calling for murders of presidents of other countries.
If we want, we could make a sort of “hit list” up - who should we add to it? Justin Trudeau, for sure, Kim Jong Un, he’s a natural. Xi Jinping! There’s a good one to get rid of, and maybe the next half-dozen in line for his job. You don’t like Maduro? Let’s bump him off while we’re on the spree. Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel, now there’s a good one to get rid of - he’s the current president of Cuba. Or Emanuel Macron. No one likes him. Pop 'im. The new leader of Austria is no peach either. Might as well take him out. How about the current president of Australia - Scott Morrison . . . and maybe pretty much every one of the state leaders there. No bloody good. The leadership of Iran is troublesome, why keep them around to annoy us? And that ridiculous Boris Johnson and the twit that is running Scotland. If I were making the list I’d just add Volodomyr Zelenskyy for good measure. He is definitely not a winner.
Before we know it, we are down to one or two nations we haven’t had a disagreement with. Yet. And a lot of us aren’t all that crazy about the Biden/Harris team anymore - punch their ticket. And you know, a lot of people would be happy to see the end of Anthony Fauci - maybe ice him. Does Graham think maybe what works overseas in other people’s countries might be the way to handle our own domestic issues? I hope not.
It is obviously long past time for Linsday Graham to cash his last check from the New World Order Neocon Company and retire. He is nowhere near sane. And if enough people hear him talk like this and don’t hear someone take him to task for it, we risk some preemptive action against us. Would Lindsay Graham really like to have his election settled by a car bomb or poison? A gat? What is he thinking?
What is the rest of our silly Congress thinking with signing onto these dumb resolutions? Do they think they have any real-world meaning? And if so, what, exactly? Even Marjorie Taylor Green and Lauren Bobert apparently jumped on the ol’ barge full of these morons. Where was Michelle Fischback? Where was Kelly Armstrong? Are they all this stupid?
As to Lindsay Graham, I wonder if his Twitter will be shut down, or his Facebook cancelled. Maybe he should be jailed on a charge of terrorism. I would not object. After all, he is actually, literally, calling for violence. Did he study history? Does he know how World War I started? Just some do-it-yourselfer Serbian who decided to take out the heir to Austria’s throne. Easy-peasy.
