SALLY MORRIS: RANDOM THOUGHTS ON THE BOSTON MASSACRE II
Is anyone else getting sick of the press attempting to make excuses for the Tsarnaevs? Regarding these young men (and note, I did not say “boys”), it would seem that everyone is trying to wrack his brain to find out “why” these sweet young things became “radicalized”. In the famous words of Hillary Clinton, by way of Chris Matthews, “WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE?!”
From a rational, reasoned perspective we see the following: A foreign family, to whom America owes NOTHING, seeks refuge, political asylum. Do they seek help and shelter in France? In China? In Morocco or Bangladesh? No. Of course not. They come HERE – to America. They are welcomed by Lady Liberty and make themselves at home.
Trembling with fear of the terrifying conditions which drove them from home, they happily and frequently return thence. Why? What, after all, does Chechnya offer when it is no longer considered safe enough to be “home”? Well, it is a great center of education . . . er, training. For what? Well, the main talent on offer in those regions is terror. They are experts in terror.
So we have, then, a family which splits its time between the country it fled and the country it hates. Yes, hates. Isn’t that a politically incorrect word? What word better suits them? Tamarlan asserted that he didn’t have but one American “friend”. If your son said that wouldn’t you suggest maybe he wasn’t trying very hard? Maybe. The one he had might have been his murder victim anyway, so I guess if that were the case he didn’t need one badly enough to not kill him. Nevertheless he finds a charming and bright young bride from a very well established American family (who, by the way, wants to be seen as “tolerant” and “diverse”). He proceeds to beat her up after he gets her to convert to Islam and dress in a tent. Well, maybe that doesn’t make friends either. He maybe just has no “people skills”, poor thing.
The two young “boys” are a touching pair, the one being portrayed as a sort of puppy tag-along who supposedly idolizes his radical Islamic older brother. How sweet. Of course, he apparently lacks something as well, because in the clutch, Djokhar just matter-of-factly ran over his injured, beloved big brother in his getaway. In other words, our country was truly blessed to have these “boys” here, making our own country so colorful and diverse. Now we are supposed to wring out our handkerchiefs and get ready to absorb our grief over the sorry plight of poor Djokhar, bereft of his mentor, Tamarlan and now on a ventilator. What a sympathetic picture.
We are getting much sparser reportage as to the physical condition of the more than 100 innocent athletes and sports fans cheering on the Boston Marathon. They are somehow less picturesque in their hospital beds than the cute young perp. I say “perp” because, in all real respects, Djokhar has admitted his part in the whole lovely thing. But what about the young dance instructor who lost a foot? What about the eight-year-old child who was killed? While we are asked to worry over Tamarlan’s “post-traumatic stress syndrome”, does anyone in the Fourth Estate wander far enough afield to concern himself with the PTSS suffered by the Americans on Boylston Street?
The Scots have a song, penned by Jim Mclean, “Glencoe”. It tells the horrific tale of how soldiers of Clan Campbell, accepted the hospitality of Clan MacDonald, and, being really in the service of King William, murdered them in their beds, men, women and children. It is a story of betrayal and treachery. To this day there remains the vestige of a certain wariness between MacDonalds and Campbells in some neighborhoods. By the way, the song ends, “. . . but gone was the House o’ MacDonald”.
If we do not want our descendants to sing, “gone was the House of America” we had better step back from the diversity cant and the political correctness and review the facts. This nation – our country – has no obligation to accept ANY immigrants, nor, for that matter, any “temporary” refugees. If we should choose to accept immigrants, let it be only to the extent that such immigration promotes our national interest. It is not in our interest to admit to our shores anyone, from any part of the world, whose “religion” demands that he dominate or destroy those of other religions. That is not a part of our culture or history and it is flat-out contrary to our law. We should likewise say an emphatic “NO!” to any who wish to import foreign laws or any custom out of sync with American law (such as polygamy for instance, or honor killing). If, for humanitarian reasons we ELECT to admit a refugee, that refugee must be watched and required to return home as soon as possible. No one from any nation should come here except on an individual basis. The mass importation of foreign peoples here without screening, is no longer acceptable.
In the case of the infamous Tsarnaevs, we should have refused to allow Tamarlan to come back into America once he felt “safe” enough to go home to train – or even just to visit. By definition, he no longer was a “refugee”.
If we want to look to some of our fabulous “Homeland Security”, we find a bloated, power-hungry agency more focused on cornering all the guns, ammunition and tanks that can be had while leaving open the Mexican border, running guns to Mexican gangsters, persecuting law enforcement personnel who dare to try to enforce such weak immigration law as exists, and working around the clock to support traitors like Senator Toomey in efforts to catalog our privately-owned guns to tangle up our efforts to buy firearms for our own protection and in time confiscate what we do have. They obviously have no time to check out suspicious Chechnyans the Russian government had warned us were dangerous. They are intent, instead, on overseeing the TSA obscenely abuse our elderly and our young children at airports when they try to visit family (American, than is) on Thanksgiving.
And what of the FBI? What do they do? I’m glad to hear they’re Red Sox fans too. It’s nice to have something in common with the Tsarnaevs, after all. Makes them all more human, more “fuzzy” – a kind of nice “unity” to add to the “diversity” we all cherish. What they don’t do is follow up on very real and very dangerous threats to Americans’ safety. They don’t ask any embarrassing questions about where these poor young refugees, with no visible means of support, no jobs, get the money for luxury cars, frequent trips abroad. So, then, what is their job? We do pay them for something. I guess we just can’t buy their services when it becomes politically “insensitive” for them to do their work. I guess maybe they are on hand to help our administration facilitate the escape of the Saudi suspect, al Harabi, as they did eleven year ago with Osama bin Laden.
I am sick of this. I am sick of hearing how Islam is a “religion of peace”, of how diversity “enriches” us all, of how inferior Americans are to every other vermin that crawls on Planet Earth. I don’t think I am alone. I honestly would love to see a true polling of American citizens – legal ones, that is – as to whether they agree with me (and with Laura Ingraham) in that we should, as a first step, cease to allow immigrants or refugees from Islamic nations to come to America. I would bet that many, if not a strong majority, would agree. More would agree if we were exposed to the plight of the injured survivors of the blast set and detonated by the angelic young Djokhar and his inspiring big brother Tamarlan.
So, while our phony leadership in Washington is busy discussing how we are going to turn our country over to foreigners from Mexico and elsewhere via “immigration reform” and our Prime Conservative Traitor, Marco Rubio, acts as their token and front man, we should get on the phones to our US Senators and our Congressmen and let them know what we think. They will do as they find it expedient regardless, but they should know there will be a price. You know, when you take time to think about it rationally, if we keep people out of America who are intent on destroying us, we might not need domestic drones to keep the rest of us all under surveillance.
Now, this last thought suggests a motive for the lack of will in our government to slow immigration and keep terrorists out of our “homeland”. For as long as we keep America a dangerous and turbulent place it is easier to sell us on Big Brother and his many devices available to control US, to grab OUR guns and leave us vulnerable.
