SALLY MORRIS:  SCHOOL DAYS

We have watched the fruit of our public schools and universities taking America apart at the seams and burning it to the ground.  They have desecrated our public shrines, monuments and statues of our national heroes.  They have insulted the generations which have given them freedom and prosperity.  They have spit upon their heritage - a great heritage and a unique one.  An exceptional one.

This has been the success of the enemies of our country - the influences, mostly foreign, which would like to see America destroyed and our great experiment in freedom and self-governance terminated in defeat.  There are those, a majority of public actors, who truly believe that the only way for society to function is through a top-down dictatorship where people have no self-direction or choice in life - despite evidence that freedom works and that top-down direction has been a failure.  Communism has had a century to prove itself and it has been an unqualified disaster.  Russia fell in 1989.  It had a run of less than 80 years and left the nation in a shambles.  North Korea and South Korea are contrasts just as East and West Germany - one a failure, a dark and dismal failure, the other a booming success.  As nations drift toward socialism (just a precursor to communism) their prosperity does fade.  Venezuela converted to communism overnight; overnight its economy evaporated - from the 4th wealthiest nation on earth it plummeted to 68th place almost as fast.  And yet a majority of our university students favor changing our system from a representative democracy with checks and balances to protect minorities and a free market economy which supports innovation and progress to socialism.

Why?  Because for two generations they have been taught from kingergarten through their entire school careers to hate America and everything it stands for - free enterprise, equality under law, our history, lawful immigration, freedom under a Constitution forged in the heat of the birth of a new nation, our special freedom of religion and free expression.  They have learned to hate all of this in the schools we have supported at great expense, and delivered them to every day.

I sometimes think I must sound like the proverbial “broken record” because I have said this so often - but it is not the parents’ job to deliver their kids to someone else to teach.  It is their job to teach them.  Teach them American values, American history, American principles of government, our Constitution, teach them to love their country, to honor their country’s heroes (not to demand a perfection of them to which none of us can honestly lay claim).  Our kids should have learned that America continues to improve - which means it did not begin life “perfect”.  It was a product of its times - times in which slavery, for example, and a reduced status for women, were accepted as a norm.  Many of our founders went to great lengths arguing that we needed to end it and end it we did at a terrible cost in life - 600,000.   That is a commitment to the promise of equality under law.  It took time to iron out the problems but by mid-20th Century, 100 years later, things were reaching the goal.

We would be farther ahead, I would argue, had Lyndon Johnson not tampered with economic reality and instituted a welfare state which destroyed the family structure and morale of Americans, and especially minority and poor Americans.  To the degree we drifted toward socialism we drifted farther from the American dream and American freedom and values.

All this we can lay at the doorstep of our educational system and the frauds who have been running it for the past half-century.  None should be more acutely aware of this problem than conservative commentators such as Ben Shapiro or the president himself.  And yet, these people and others who normally offer good sense are banging the drum to get the kids back in school at the earliest possible moment, even though the “teachers” - the brainwashers who are providing the indoctrination - themselves are objecting.

If there has been any silver lining in this terrible pandemic, which has killed people, destroyed the economy and set us up for insurrection from within, it is that kids have been at home.  They have not had the full-barrel indoctrination program undiluted by parental involvement.  The one bright spot is that some parents have decided to continue home school into the future.  At the very least we should regard this hiatus as a blessing - for a few precious months our kids have not been urged to question their gender, renounce their country and go out there and demand socialism.  The kids have been exposed to normal people for a while.  This can only be a good thing.  The people who are objecting to perpetuating this status are 1) misguided people who think it more important to get everyone back in the office, their kids dumped at the school for babysitting and 2) parents who think their job was done when the kid was born and the rest is up to the school personnel they pay through taxes.  Both of these groups are wrong.

I hope someone will whisper this truth in the ear of the president, the popular conservative commentators and these parents - it is not a good idea for the kids to ever return to these indoctrination centers.  Better they just stay home, learn to bake a loaf of bread, make a cabinet, read a book, sew something, train the dog or help paint the garage or write a poem or a story or a letter to grandma, learn to play the guitar, maybe.  When they get back to school the hormone treatments will commence again, the drag queen story hour and the pounding in of the anti-American propaganda.  Don’t rush to open the schools.
