SALLY MORRIS: SUNDAY SPECIAL - A YEAR OLDER? KEEP ON KEEPIN’ ON
“Another year has come and gone and now you’re getting older . . .
I have something for that. If you feel a year older take a look at the videos I have found for you today! Our Sunday Special is about how to live and keep on living.
I love to see talented little kids making music, dancing, painting, etc. But it’s nice to know that we never have to stop doing these wonderful things. Today, for the first Sunday Special of 2020, I want to pass along a series of performances which should make us optimistic about our own futures.
First is a lady of 101, playing - beautifully and with great soul - the lovely music of Branislaw Kaper from the musical “Lili” -

Next, a remarkable lady named Suzelle Poole, a British dancer who began ballet 70 years ago. She is still training, still teaching and still performing. She tells children that life is too short not to do what you love to do. She has the exact same message for the people she visits in nursing homes. Suzelle Poole:

Please listen to this lady all the way through (even if you are not a Bach fan) - there is MORE to come! (And it’s very, very good.)

Ed Simons is (probably) the oldest orchestra conductor in the world. He just really likes to do it.

Here is a lady who can sing. Notice that she begins a capella. Not easy for anyone, by the way.
