SALLY MORRIS:  THE COURSE OF HUMAN EVENTS

There is a tendency to believe that we are powerless.  We keep hearing from the “authorities” that we are.  After all, those who have controlled the media and who have suppressed the opinions they have not liked perhaps have believed their own lies.  They have come to believe that they are all-powerful, that they have control over the “truth”, no disagreement must be tolerated, in fact, disagreement with authority is “criminal”, that the rest of us are mere pawns for them to push around a game board.   Perhaps this presumption comes naturally to those who, themselves, have no spirit, who have accepted instead the lesser commodity - "authority" - over the human spirit for freedom.

Although often attributed to Goebbels, others have credited Lenin with this observation:

“There” is one thing, he said, “and I can take an oath on it if you like, not one farthing of that money will minister to me personally—it goes into the funds of our cause. There is a newspaper to be established in Germany—writers to be sought for and paid—and an establishment to be maintained, and it is on that business I am going abroad; despots gag the press, we more wisely make it our weapon. If a lie is only printed often enough, it becomes a quasi-truth, and if such a truth is repeated often enough, it becomes an article of belief, a dogma, and men will die for it. We, who are of neither extreme in politics, neither pure red nor pure black …”

Does something about this sound hauntingly familiar to you?  Who is it who has been muzzling the press?  Who has sought to suppress all legitimate voices of science and medicine who have disagreed with the official story?  Who keeps being accused of spreading “dangerous misinformation”.  And who is always “right”?  Who is it that may not be challenged?  Oppression here in America has many faces - a very good example is Bill De Blasio, who outlines for us here what we must expect of the authorities next.

There was a time when, if someone in a position of prominence in our government had said that, we would have assumed that he had lost his mind.  Unfortunately, however, people have become used to hearing this kind of idea from people in power.  It didn’t take long - I remember a couple of short years ago we were shocked at the idea of China’s “social credit scoring”, where people were tagged and tracked like cattle, their every thought monitored to determine whether they might be allowed to travel to the next town to see their mom, whether they could keep their job, whether maybe they needed “re-education”.  That was a short time ago, but look at us now!  We have gone from shock at phone apps that track civilians and red flag every unwise jaywalking decision to the idea that it should be popular among the people of the world’s formerly freest nation to have numbers implanted in our bodies to serve the same function!  We actually have employers who are planning on following the unlawful vaccine mandates of Joe Biden.  They are ready to dispense not only with Congress, but also with our courts in order to force everyone into compliance.  Our oppression has been streamlined.  How long ago would we have to look to find this totally beyond the Pale?  A year?  Two?  It would almost seem that our subjugation has been completed.

But not so fast.  There are other places where this has been tried with apparent success . . . for a while.  Many of us have been somewhat surprised at the tyranny imposed on our English-speaking cousins around the world, people whose hallmark has been a strong streak of independence.  We look at New Zealand, the UK, Australia, in a kind of disbelief at the seeming submission.  There has been plenty of anger, of course, but also a mindless fear which has made a lot of Karens there, ready to tattle on people without masks.

Melbourne has been locked down for almost two years now - totally locked down.  You can’t stray out of your front door without being asked for your papers and woe betide any who cross the street or are found around the block from that door.  Police brutality has been the typical response, unpayable fines, arrests.  For a time it has appeared that the once-proud and brave nation of Australia had succumbed to slavery.  But at some point the illogical, mindless, idiocy of these potentates finally does tease the gag reflex in such people.

So it is with a certain feeling of hope and even optimism that I share this with you.  Thanks to Sanity4Sweden for the link.  This is viscerally stirring.  It might bring a tear to your eye.  It might.  It will impress you.  I’d like to know how many you think were present here.  I don’t really know.  How many is “solid people”?  At some point, we must hope, anyone who has ever tasted freedom will revolt against the kind of people represented by De Blasio, by Joe Biden, these stupid and arrogant empty suits.  The Scots have a special term for them - Toom Tabbards.  Means the same thing.  But maybe the whole world has finally had enough of them.  Let’s join the fight.  Employers, stand up for your workers - they are not your cattle, they are free men and women.  Let them alone.  Let them do their work.  Government - get out of our way.  We have a lot of lost economy and lost time - due to your foolishness - to make up.  The time has come.  Abusers of human rights could well be brought up before a tribunal.  It has happened before.  Those who would trample the human rights of the people would be wise to fear the result.
