“Intersectionality” is the political game today.  The more intersectionality “hits” you have, the better your chances with the press and with the Democrat party.  If you are a woman, that’s one point for you. If you are a lesbian, there’s two. If you are also of color or Muslim, that’s even better.  It has almost become like a hand of poker or a board game where you rack up the points of intersectionality. Gays count, but not as much as gay Black people, Muslims count.  Feminists count. Ironically, the more of a minority you can call yourself, the more points you tally up. It is really the opposite of how things really ought to be working in a representative democracy.  This is a problem for anyone evaluating issues through the prism of logic.  

One obvious conflict is that between feminists and Islam.  We are instructed that Islam is not to be criticized. We are also told that women should rule the earth.  Which is it to be? Islam, by definition and by everything in its Koran and the mouths of its clerics, does not tolerate feminism.  In Saudi Arabia, one of the bedrocks of Sharia, women do not drive. They do not go out of the house without an adult male family chaperone.  Their testimony is considered half that of a man in court because they are half as intelligent. If a woman is raped, she had better produce four male adult witnesses to help her accuse him.  If she loses in court, she is guilty of adultery, which is a stonable offense. Just mull that over for a few seconds and if you are smarter than the Saudis think a woman is, you’ll know that rape is free over there.  Last week we heard about an unfortunate American woman who married a Saudi man and went there with their little daughter to meet his family. Now she can’t leave with the daughter. The court awarded the girl to her father’s parents.  He had pictures of his American wife from before they were married and she was in a bikini, hence unfit to raise a child. You never hear a feminist calling out Sharia.  It won’t happen. Asia Bibi might be sentenced to death for offering water in a cup tainted by her Christian-ness, to righteous Muslim women and nary a word. Miss Michigan World America was just robbed of her crown for having previously tweeted about not regarding the hijab as a fashion accessory but rather as a means of relegating women to subservience.  Silence from feminists.

Gays should have a serious problem with Islam - but they don’t speak out, choosing either to remain blissfully ignorant of the dictates of Sharia, or thinking it can’t be applied to them.  Gays are pushed off of skyscrapers to their death in Sharia countries. Or worse. There is no such thing as homosexuality in Iran. Either gays there just keep quiet or they’re dead. But where was the gay outcry when the club in Orlando was attacked?   

Another intersection is that of Jews and Islam.  Anyone who has read the Koran knows that Muslims are forbidden to make peace with Jews,regarded as Allah’s lowest creatures; the task of Muslims is to rid the world of them.  They were into this long before Hitler. Hitler, in fact, took many pages from their book. He even put some of their pages in his book, Mein Kampf.  If you substitute “Germans” for “Muslims” destined to rule the world, and that the people must be controlled in their daily lives by “the State” rather than “Allah/Sharia”, you’ve got the basic premise.  Add to this the scapegoating of Jews and it’s pretty much the Koran.  Except that Mein Kampf didn’t scapegoat gays - just Jews.  Consistent with the inconsistency on the Left, you can’t say anyone is ever as bad as Hitler, but you may not say a thing agains Islam. 

There is concern about unemployment among black Americans.  Kansas City is in an economic boom right now. But if you believe the Guardian (and I’m not saying you should, generally) they tell us unemployment is 3.6%.  Blacks account for 30% of the population. The unemployment rate in black neighborhoods?  In Blue Hills (91% black) it is 17%. In Ivanhoe (86% black) it is 26%. Should blacks join the “raise the minimum wage” crowd?  And while we are on the topic of employment, do the intersectionalists think Hispanics and Blacks want to see unbridled migration?  

The “green” agenda”?  Most green people do not want to see curtailment of our professional sports.  A friend posted on facebook that chart showing how underpaid our women’s soccer teams are compared with the men’s teams.  Most of the feminists who are up in arms about this non-issue are also into greenness. How much carbon emission goes into the average NFL game?  There are 50,000 - 60,000 fans in the stadium. They didn’t come on bikes. How much wattage do the giant screens and scoreboard use? How did the teams and crew get there? Did they fly?  

I don’t subscribe to the warnings about the imminent demise of Planet Earth.  I believe it is warming . . . and cooling, that it will go through many earthquakes and volcanic disturbances, tides will ebb and flow,  coastlines advance and recede - for thousands of years yet to come before some meteor obliterates it. But there is a problem for those who try to exploit this “climate emergency”.

The UN has operated the climate scam for its own purposes of world domination.  Agenda 21, notorious Big Brother on steroids, is supposedly necessitated by climate concerns.  Many fortunes have been made exploiting peoples’ fears that we will all be drowning or baking to death.  Al Gore, Michael Moore, celebrities like Leonardo di Caprio, all have their hand in. They are master cynics, of course.  And while the UN is operating its own climate scare on the one hand, it is ramping up demands on Europe to erase its borders and allow unhampered migration, making war on their native populations.  The evil operators and their feckless minions are creating havoc in once-civilized, successful nations. Lawlessness has replaced order and culture in places like the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Germany, the UK, Scandinavia.  Only the nations of Eastern Europe, who have first-hand memories of foreign occupation, are resisting this tidal wave.  

Yet, what does this mass migration actually do to carbon emissions?   The average Afghani, herding his goats happily on a mountain somewhere in the Hindu Kush, has almost no carbon footprint at all.  His demands are few and simple. His wives and children live in a simple structure. They don’t drive cars or book flights in airplanes, they don’t want washing machines or electric dryers.  They don’t go to the movies or concerts or sporting activities. They are everything the UN tells us we should aspire to be and shame us for not being.  We’re not good at this. We shop in grocery stores, operate  microwave ovens, require working refrigerators and dependable automobiles to get us to work.  We need oil and electricity to run them and to keep the lights on so the kids can do their homework.  When we get home from a 10-hour workday we like to turn on the TV or go to a movie. We save up for tickets to concerts and baseball games.  We are terrible sinners. But once you remove the Afghan guy from his mountain top and import him and his 3 wives and 12 children, they, too, will need to shop at the grocery store.  They will need TVs and cars. They will develop the same size carbon footprint everyone else in the West has. How does this help? They will be clogging up our highways instead of going about their tranquil, bucolic lives in the Afghan landscape.  This goes for east Africans, middle easterners, bedouins, et al. The UN just can’t have this intersectionality.

Most serious, however, is the blunt force conflict with those whose lifestyles do not comport with Islam and the growing trend of migration chiefly of Muslims.  I mean straight women, lesbians, gays, and Jews. And, of course, anyone who subscribes to the Constitution and Bill of Rights - remember? The document crafted by man in his best efforts at wisdom, which has guided a nation of free men and women through two-and-a-half centuries of growth and success, to lead the world.  According to those who trust in Allah, however, this law must give way every time to Sharia. There is where our intersectionality crashes.

Best to forget intersecting.   Just stand up for the Constitution and freedom, serve America and your best interests and forget trying to intersect with anyone else.  Intersectionality is just a traffic jam of tribalism. It will get us nowhere fast - we don’t have time for it. We have some big challenges ahead.
