SALLY MORRIS:  THE PRICE OF OPEN BORDERS

I have a video for you to watch. A friend sent it to me. I know we hear a lot of crap from a lot of
“sensitive” Americans, people who have the impression that they are better than the rest of us who want to protect our border. They see only the staged, phony “children in cages” stories. They call those of us who want to stop illegal immigration “white supremacists” or “racists” or whatever ugly epithet comes to their confused minds. All those who are violating our borders are the “good guys”, the poor people with all these kids who only want “what we have”. Well, what is that, anyway? We have freedom and prosperity, and in truth, most of us want this for all peoples everywhere. In fact, if they had that, if they fought for it at home, we’d probably all have peace. Trouble is, we won’t have that and neither will they if we allow lawlessness and violation of our border.

Those who want to have no borders need to watch this. The people who break the law and violate our borders are criminals. Some of them are not only criminals but are evil. If we fail to protect our borders, hence our own people, then we, too, are evil. Those who want to open our borders (in effect, erase them) are not really interested in freedom or in America or in our future. They aren’t even interested in human rights. Quite the opposite, in fact. They are anarchists who would destroy the freedom and hence the prosperity that were earned by others, some with hard work some with their lives. Or they are the dupes of these anarchists. In case you doubt this, here are a few individual case histories. Take your time – this is an extensive list of evildoers, all here illegally – and it barely scratches the surface. We have no idea who else is here.

Regarding these children – they are not valued (as “people”) by those who arrive at the border with them (although they are valued as a commodity to help them get in). Perhaps they have been sold for a price to provide cover for illegals. Perhaps they were kidnapped. If we want to protect these children we should not allow them to be exploited in this way. They will not be sold or kidnapped for this purpose if we don’t allow ourselves to be manipulated by this tactic. If we really care about these kids we should not allow them to be used to get illegals into our country. It’s simple. No one will take these kids away from their homes and families if we don’t allow them to use children to work the system. The best way to protect them is to firmly say no. Those who come with parents need to be turned back with those parents to either go home and make their own countries fit to live in or apply to immigrate legally. The odds are they will go home and make their homelands better. At least that is how we should play it. The other way – the way we’ve been doing it – letting them come in with kids, trying to “reunite families” (which in many cases they are not) – makes pawns and victims of these same kids. Many of them end up as victims of sex trafficking. Some are murdered. Is this what we want to buy into?

So the next time one of these false (or confused) Americans tells you we need to open the border, or that we need to make what is ours everyone else’s who wants to invade our home, try to patiently explain to them that our rights, our freedom and our security in our own home trumps “social justice”. And have them watch this. Our borders are open. They are not regulated. They are being crossed every day by vicious criminals of the very worst kind. This cannot end well. Think of your children confronted one day by these criminals. Along with the invaders from Central and South America, jihadists – call them what they are – terrorists – are entering freely. They are coming in today. Tomorrow your children might encounter them in your hometown.

First we need to stop the “free stuff” which has been luring people here. Instead of free housing, free food, free clothing, free transportation, free health care, free school, etc., we should make life less easy than it was at home. We should make it very undesirable for anyone to come here illegally, not an advantage to them. We need to absolutely examine every immigrant before they come in. If this means we lose 99% of the immigrants because we can’t process them, that is a good thing. America doesn’t need immigrants. We must limit immigration to those who actually ARE “refugees” (for instance, Christians or Jews coming in from Egypt or Syria or Iraq, etc.) and those whose skills we NEED (and who have clean backgrounds). Others need to stay home and fix their problems there. Maybe they need their own revolution at home. Maybe they will demand that their own governments clean up their act – get criminal drug cartels under control, instead of being controlled by them, root out Islamic terrorists there as well.

Mexico’s President Obrador wants to meet these vicious criminals with hugs – “abrazos”, not gunshots - “balazos”. Cute. What isn’t cute is what that policy has done to both the Mexican people and the American people. His people need to make Obrador do his job, not flee to America because he isn’t doing it. Maybe look closely at the books and see where the money is flowing to and from. Find the corruption and make the goal to clean it up.

Mexico is a beautiful country – rich in mineral wealth, fertile, with a rich and varied culture a varied climate and landscape, two vast, navigable coastlines – one on each ocean - and a lot of good people. It should be a paradise. The only reason it is not is that there is also a subculture of corruption and crime and acceptance of that corruption. You can’t accept just a “little” corruption. If you accept it, it will flourish. This is what we see in Mexico today. Corruption in full flower and its spores are MS-13 (which like so much rot in our country actually began in Los Angeles, supposedly, in this case, to protect illegal Salvadorans). With that comes the parasitic piggy-backing (intended metaphor) of Islamic terrorists. Our participation in this train of corruption by opening our borders to it can only make it worse and spread it throughout our country. Why on earth would we intentionally import whatever it is that these people we think we are helping, are fleeing? How can we be that dumb?

In the past I have argued that instead of a “wall” we needed a policy which would deter people from trying to come here illegally in the first place. We still need that policy. But we have let this go too long now. We now have some serious issues of public safety in the balance. Now we do need a wall. (In the case of Brownsville, that wall should be constructed north of the University of Texas Brownsville campus. Give students and faculty time to get out, allow them to go to other state universities unless they like the current border situation, of course. Those students and college president Juliet Garcia should remain to work constructively with MS-13.) The university would then have nothing whatsoever to say about the wall or its configuration. Just wall them into Mexico and be done with them. See if their “wall” keeps them save at that point, or if they prefer to be on the safe side of “our” wall. And a sensible, hard-nosed policy which will discourage violation of our borders and our laws. Watch the video. Don’t talk to me about wanting open borders until you do. (And thanks, Daniel!)

Note: I was heretofore unfamiliar with Mr. Ducote. He is a veteran and a long-time advocate of border security. Snopes attacks him, which give him some extra credibility with me. I cannot vouch for every detail seen in the video. I can, however, believe 100% of the substance of his video here. I just googled and found an extensive, but partial, list of illegal aliens who have been apprehended and charged. We can only guess at the actual numbers of illegals who are here and who have already violated laws and committed violent crimes. Grand Forks has specific experience with this.
