As the vultures are gathered in the House of Representatives, intent upon undoing the election of 2016, lying, manipulating, hiding the truth, another flock of vultures have gathered in Madrid, Spain, intent upon destroying civilization, lying, manipulating, hiding the truth. The COP25 Convention is underway, with celebrities galore, including, of course, the fashionable icon of the day, Greta Thunberg. I have not heard as yet how she got there (or is getting there) (and hopefully back to schoooool), carbon-free, but her presence is essential to this crucial endeavor of civilizational destruction.

Doubtless the focus of this congregation will be sharply on the issue of reducing carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, the severe restriction of nearly every aspect of human life in the developed world. There is great consternation among this crowd as to “global cooling” or “global warming”. The former was the scare of the 1970’s, the later the threat of the 21^st Century. Never mind that regardless of warming or cooling, it will always be the fault of the people in developed nations who drive cars, heat their homes, cook their food, live in civilized conditions(and travel around the world to attend virtue-signaling climate conferences). So “global warming” has been quietly sent out of the room. “Climate change” is the enemy now. The bad guy is “greenhouse gases”.

On the face of this nomenclature one would think there would be a bit of skepticism on the part of the public. For decades we have been taught how important our forests are, our “green” spaces, how necessary to supposedly normal weather patterns, such as sufficient rain so as to avoid deadly drought and famine. Every fool knows that a greenhouse is a place with optimum conditions for growing all things green. Every fool also knows that a greenhouse must have a great supply of CO2. That is why they call CO2 a “greenhouse gas”. In addition to this we need H2O of course, but it is the CO2 that we need to eliminate. At the moment, any way. Maybe tomorrow’s boogeyman will be water – who knows? They will need something to fuel their “cause”.

Of course the sane among us understand fully that CO2 is needed in order to have healthy vegetation, which, in turn, helps to normalize weather in the endless cycle of plants using CO2 and giving off oxygen. We need oxygen, so we need plant life. Plant life needs CO2. We all learned this in 7^th grade. Carbon dioxide is a good thing if we want life to continue on earth. Maybe that is a big “if” for these vultures in Spain this week. For Greta. These people are apparently anti-life. They think that if life just went away the earth would be a better place, healthier. Figure that one out if you can.

The machinations of man on earth, regardless of the self-importance of the climate priests, are less than negligible in their real effects on climate. The warming and cooling of the earth has been going on far longer than man has existed. If the earth were a hundred or more years old our time to this point here has been less than a nanosecond. We do not affect climate. There are things we do that make life more or less pleasant. There is no reason to spew other things into the atmosphere that are unpleasant, such as fumes from a potato plant that makes french fries, for example. Or unfiltered diesel fumes. But the obnoxious qualities of these gases are not CO2. So air pollution is not CO2 pollution. We do have some control of the other things in the air and most of us would agree we’d like our air to be fresher. Eliminating CO2 will not help that one iota.

Most of these “scientists” gathered on the tree branches in Madrid know all of this. At least if they are any form of “scientist”. (I am being optimistic here – most of these “scientists” are physicians, or astronomers, maybe a dentist or gemologist here or there, a cosmetologist, a chemist specializing in perfume maybe? They are not experts in climate or atmospheric science. Such people are generally not asked to speak or present papers, their theories are banned and they are not invited to these conventions.) They should know better but then they are purchasing tickets on airplanes to fly around the world to Spain. If they really believe what they are peddling to the rest of us they would do this by Skype. Technology can work wonders. We don’t need to go by horseback or galleon any longer, nor by jet. Nor by high-tech, surreptitiously powered “sailing ships”. So we know that these people don’t really buy their own story on this. And, let’s be honest. Neither do you. You want your college hockey team or football team on those planes and buses and whatever, playing their rivals. You wouldn’t think of giving that up. That costly events center in your hometown that you are paying for into infinity, that is there for concerts and sports competition. These things must be jettisoned if you really believe in CO2 as a cause of “climate change”. So if you are buying the climate change nonsense and still follow sports or country stars you are just another phony. Maybe you never thought of it that way.

But in truth, none of us should be concerned about greenhouse gases. You know all those graphs that are flashed at you at these things? They are never complete. They show about the last five minutes of climate tracking. The real truth is that we are in a very cold period which has been growing colder for a long time. If you doubt that, look at the fossils of swamp-feeding dinosaurs and warm-water crustaceans. They lived right here. My son was involved in a dig in Walhalla. They were finding plesiosaurs. We find evidence of forestation throughout areas that are now tundra. Lake Agassiz had been a glacier, then a lake, now low, flat farmland. That is clear evidence that our climate conditions have changed before man was anywhere near them.

You might think that an electric car is a good idea to cut down on all this dangerous CO2. It runs on a battery that is rechargeable. From a cord. Plugged into a wall. In a circuit fed by electrical power generated through burning natural gas or coal or from hydroelectric generators. We know this, don’t we? Let’s pretend this is better. So let’s look at this. Fossil fuels themselves are earth’s battery. They are where the energy is stored. Fossil fuels are carbon. Carbon is stored in our rocks – our coal, for example. When we mine coal or extract the fuel and use it we are really recycling it. This is the ultimate circle of life. If you are into life, which it appears the vultures in Spain are not. I see it this way – what is the alternative to life on earth? No life on earth. Better?

You probably are reading this because you are not in the bag for the so-called “climate science” mountebanks, so I’m probably preaching to the choir. But it’s a safe bet that your kids are getting their information and disinformation somewhere else – in school, in the media. You owe them the truth. Here is a video – one of many by this knowledgeable and experienced scientist – Patrick Moore, a Canadian, one of the early Greenpeace activists. He has a lot of stories to tell you and a wealth of solid information you can take to the bank. Please share this and more of Patrick Moore’s videos with them. It will mean a lot to them. Maybe then they will understand that the people who would eliminate CO2 (or at least your CO2) are haters. They are evil. They do not wish for a better life for mankind. They want the death of mankind. First they want to make mankind miserable, though, through some kind of deprived, impoverished lifestyle. Oh, they won’t be sharing that. They will still fly in jet planes, heat and cool impressive mansions, such as our celebrities enjoy, people like Al Gore. They are exempt because, in their view, someone needs to be special. Just not you.

Bottom line -  CO2: good. Climate change conferences at resorts around the world: bad.
