SALLY MORRIS:  TRUMP EFFORTS TO CURB ASYLUM ABUSE THWARTED

With all the events surrounding the illicit presidential election, a lot of other issues which should be important to us end up overlooked in the swirl of the storm.  One such is the adverse ruling of a San Francisco federal judge in a policy of the Trump Administration which attempted to broaden the category of those not eligible to enter the United States as “asylum seekers”.

There has always been a ban on specific types of offenders - drug traffickers, money laundering and counterfeiters, but the new law was also providing that people who had been convicted of little things - crimes such as domestic violence, identity theft, immigrant smuggling, public benefit fraud, driving under the influence, etc.  For anyone who has been impacted by this and for anyone responsible enough to understand the damage to our society by accepting these behaviors, this would seem a no-brainer.  For the San Francisco judge, however, it was ‘too broad’, too sweeping.

Just stop a moment and think - why on earth should any nation accept these kinds of “asylum seekers”?  Under any conditions?  This is why national sovereignty is essential if we want human beings to live under decent conditions.  There is no way to maintain a decent quality of life if we have no control over criminal behavior and if we want that we need borders and if we want borders to mean anything they must not be systemically breached under the guise of seeking asylum.  America does not owe felons - or anyone, for that matter - asylum.  Asylum is the extension of hospitality to someone who is in need.  It is like charity - if it is forced it is not charity, it is robbery.

Is there any reason why we should extend our charity to someone who steals identities?  Who trafficks in other humans?  Who assaults others or steals from the public through fraud?  Who drives irresponsibly and kills or maims our citizens?  Why would we do that?  Well, we will keep doing it for the time being because U.S. District Judge Susan Illston of San Francisco is fine with it.  This is why we need to keep Trump for another four years.  Biden would roll everything back because his team is in favor of dissolving our borders, he’s ready to implement the “Great Reset”.  His team is full speed ahead for far-left globalism, what we used to call international communism.  That would mean we really have no right to our borders, which really means we have no jurisdiction and no law.

If you care at all about preserving a decent lifestyle - and I don’t mean “lavish”, I mean safe, you will be able to see the danger inherent in this reckless abandonment of our borders and immigration and asylum laws.  We have an epidemic of identity theft which impacts us all, we have a growing opioid crisis, we’ve seen enough assault and battery this summer alone to last a lifetime.  Our welfare and entitlements are bankrupting us - we sure could use more public benefit theft.  All we need is to import more of this.  Obviously another thing we don’t need more of are leftist federal judges, and we can be assured that with Biden we would have that.
