We could take him apart for this on the basis of the nature of the vaccine he thinks we should all be forced to take.  As the one of the smartest pundits in the Western World, and married to one of the most competent bread-winning physicians in America, he surely knows that a vaccine takes a minimum of approximately five years to go from the experimental Stage One to the marketing of the vaccine as safe for the public.  The CDC lists six separate stages in the approval process of a vaccine, in fact.  Stage One is to try the substance on animals.  You track them in the lab, monitor their reaction, eventually, if all goes well and the virus hasn’t killed them, you expose them to the “wild” agent - virus or bacteria or whatever.  You check the interaction with other foods and drugs.  You check their blood, watch their symptoms if any.  When you have found this vaccine to be absolutely safe for animals you move on to Stage Two.  You call for volunteers to test the vaccine.   We did not say “corral everyone in the community and don’t let them out until they are vaccinated.”  They are similarly monitored, perhaps with even more particularity.  With them we can check their cognitive status, their emotional status, ask them how they feel.  We check on drug interactions with them, we check on food interactions as well.   If all goes well and the long-term effects appear safe, no deaths, no serious adverse events, the trial goes on to the next group and on to the next, carefully checking and monitoring the whole time.  None of the so-called vaccines for COVID have been through this kind of process.  We have no idea whatsoever of the possible long-term effects of this.

We could remind Ben that vaccine developers and purveyors bear no legal responsibility for any damages.   Not since 1986.  In a blind effort to address HIV/Aids, our government under Reagan rushed into policies which were reckless and detrimental to the public health.  Vaccine producers are now held harmless for “adverse events” or death.  Now, Ben, sharp, Harvard lawyer that he is, knows this or should.  And he is certainly cognizant of the fact that this allows these manufacturers to become very reckless because they are not legally (financially) responsible.  Yet he thinks it’s just fine not only to offer these untested, unproven vaccines to the public, a public stressed by ginned-up fear of a virus, but to force them on us whether we think it is in our best interest or not.  And yet leave the vaccine companies held harmless!  What a legal genius.  

We could rub his nose in this:  that the vaccine does not even purport to prevent the vaccinated from catching the disease.  The vaccine does not suggest that the person who is vaccinated will not be able to spread the disease despite the vaccine (as an “asymptomatic spreader”).  The vaccine will not make it safe to gather in large groups, to attend family events, to hug grandma or to stop the bizarre “social distancing”.  No - that must continue.  And masks?  Oh, you’ll have to wear masks for the foreseeable future.  Let’s be honest - that means for the rest of your life.    “Herd immunity”?  That’s the mantra.  Well, the vaccine is promised not to produce any such thing.  The whole focus of the developers of this COVID vaccine has been to “reduce symptoms”.  In other words, to create a veritable, unstoppable army of asymptomatic carriers of COVID.  How does that sound as a way to address a public health issue?  The whole reason given for not allowing a healthy child to hug his healthy granny is that he might possibly have the virus and be asymptomatic.  That’s the reason why people who are not sick are forced to wear masks.  It’s why in some  areas, notably Canada, travelers who are not sick are abducted by government agents at airports and whisked to secretive “COVID hotels”, such as the Radisson, and virtually held prisoner there for 14 days at a personal cost to them of $2,000, in solitary confinement, fed sack lunches instead of dinner.  It's why we are all treated as if we are contagious all of the time.  It’s the “asymptomatic” factor.  Now we are injecting millions of people with this vaccine to make them “asymptomatic”.  That, and a whole lot more.

There is a distinct possibility that the vaccine, due to the manner in which it intercepts the virus, will cause it to be impossible for a woman to have children.  We can’t say for sure, yet because - you got it - no tests.  There have been numerous cases of stillbirths/miscarriages following the injections in otherwise healthy mothers-to-be (or, more correctly, mothers-not-to-be).  Now when you consider injecting that 5-year-old so she can attend her kindergarten class, remember - she may want to have a child when she grows up.  You might just have precluded that for her.  We don't know.  We know that the polyethylene glycol used to encapsulate the mRNA agent causes dangerous allergic reactions in many.  Other factors in the brew might also be causing these allergic reactions and anaphylactic shock.  We know many have died incidental to having just received the vaccine, and there are legion reports of “adverse events”.  What a nice euphemism!  “Adverse events”.  Sounds like you locked your keys in your car or something, maybe got pulled over for running a red light.  Ran out of coffee filters.  Those are “adverse events”.  What we are seeing as reactions to the vaccines in many previously healthy people are life-changing tragedies,  disabling injuries.  Many of those afflicted with these will have much shortened lives.  Many will be unable to work again to support themselves, take care of their children or fulfill their potential.  

And there’s more!  Experts in vaccines and what they do (and this vaccine and what it is designed to do), understand and have told us that we will undoubtedly have a tsunami of sickness and death as those who were vaccinated are challenged by the “wild” virus (or likely any other threat such as cancer or influenza or bacterial infections of any kind) because the vaccine acts to disable our natural immune system and substitute for it an antigen specific to the original COVID-19.  We’ve never seen this before because we have never used this kind of technology on people before.  Study on these techniques began in the early 2000s but had to be abandoned because all of the animals died.   “ Oh, well,” the vaccine purveyors think, “we’ll just say it’s a new strain of COVID killing everyone.”  

Another little thing.  Don’t think that just because it’s tiny enough to go sailing right through your mask that a virus is stupid or incompetent.  They are fast learners.  They encounter the implanted technology carefully developed to stop them and set about immediately to develop the next generation of virus to overcome it.  It takes them about 10 hours.  How fast can Pfizer and Moderna work?  Those who have been vaccinated will not only be asymptomatic carriers until they are infected with the virus which spawns a new and improved variety - or, as they call it, a “variant” - but when that does occur they will become the human laboratory which creates the new and more virulent virus - which will not only be more dangerous to those vaccinated (and thus causing and spreading it) but to those who had wisely avoided vaccination themselves - let’s just call them the innocent bystanders.  The vaccinated are accessories before, during and after the fact, as it were.  All nice, legal terminology for a Harvard lawyer.  Perhaps we should pay attention to an actual expert instead, such as Dr. Michael Zimmerman, Ph.D, who will not be complying with Ben’s demand.

Now, I could say all of that to pound Shapiro’s opinion into the hard ground, but I won’t - because that is not the most important problem with his argument.  The real problem with Shapiro and others similarly aligned, is this:  In America we believe that the person is sovereign over his own body.  As Americans we own our own bodies.  We established this in a bloody civil war ending in 1865.  No one has a right to order us to do something to our bodies which we don’t agree with.  For anyone’s sake - not granny’s, not yours, not mine, not the guy’s down the street.  Certainly no one calling himself a “conservative” has any place calling for forced vaccinations.  We also fought another war, one I’m sure Shapiro would approve of, with Adolf Hitler, which ended in the establishment of the World Medical Association’s International Code of Ethics, which states basically, that doctors must respect the right of a patient to refuse treatment, respect their rights and preferences, to deal “honestly” with them.  This has already been blatantly violated.  Information about availability of safe, effective and well-known drugs for treatment was withheld.  People died who might have benefited from hydroxychloroquine or ivermectin.  We were lied to about the numbers of COVID deaths - the very definition of “active case” was distorted to include people who are not sick.  Additionally, doctors are not to profit by pushing any drug or treatment other than through the actual services they provide to the patient. If you’d like more on the subject, take a look at the Nuremberg Code.  After what the Nazis did, the international community decided that humans were not to be experimented upon, nor were they to be forced into medical treatments or procedures. The Code also states unequivocally that governments are not to pursue medical policy that creates more risk than the disease.  These vaccines create more risk than the disease.

 And even this does not come close to the egregious insult to the rights and dignity of free American citizens.  As such we are also protected by our Bill of Rights, trampled though it’s been on the pretext of “COVID”, particularly by our 4th, 5th, 8th and 9th Amendments.  There are no “buts”.  Once we begin to abridge our rights as Americans based on someone’s perception of an “emergency” we are lost.  When we open the door to this kind of subjective thinking and policy-making it’s all over.  In the case of COVID, there is no emergency.  There is a nearly 100% survival rate - few diseases are as unlikely to kill - even among the “hardest-hit”, the very elderly, where the survival rate is 96.4%.  Most of those who have died with covid have had comorbidities.  One could say they died of those.  As to a rise in “active cases”, I spoke with a representative of the North Dakota Department of Public Health.  Guess how they define the term?  It means, I was told, “someone who has tested positive within the last 10 days.”  I pressed further, does this person need to be sick?  Have symptoms of illness?  Answer: “No.  Just to have tested positive within the last 10 days.”  The fear is a product of media hype and the public’s susceptibility to that fear.  If we can curtail our Constitution for this, there is no limit to tyranny.  We are no longer free in any sense.

At the time of the passing of the Bill of Rights, integral and concurrent with the original letter of the Constitution, some argued that we should not even set in print these rights because they are God-given, they are not to be limited by human words written on parchment.  It was held by some that by writing them in human hand we were in some way diminishing them.  Such was the powerful assumption of our rights over our persons and property.  Now comes Ben Shapiro who presumes to unravel all of this because he perceives an “emergency”.  His position is that we all “owe” subjecting ourselves and our children to a vaccine to the “whole”.  This is the definition of “hivemind” or the dominance of the collective.  It is pure Leninism.  Shapiro has it all figured out that because he’s terribly, terribly frightened, and because perhaps his wife, who's a pediatrician,  says it’s safe enough, that now we all owe it to him and the other people who are victims of hysteria, to jump off the cliff like lemmings.  Did his mother ever caution him that just because Vladimir jumps in the middle of the lake he shouldn’t do the same?  I know mine told me that.  We are supposed to think for ourselves.  Isn’t that what it means to be American?  To be “conservative”?  To be a “constitutionalist”?  Shapiro is certainly no conservative.  Certainly no intellectual.  Certainly no traditional American-values kind of guy.  He is a collectivist at heart, a kind of dishonest, slippery, unprincipled fraud.  

Americans are free men and women.  We choose what vaccines we will take and which we will decline.  We have a right to demand full information about anything we are offered, and if the offeror cannot provide it we have no reason to accept it.  Under no condition may it be forced upon us.  Just for fun, I looked up the word “slave” in the online “Free Dictionary”.  Here’s what I found.  Slave:  1. One who is owned as the property of someone else, especially in involuntary servitude. 2. One who is subservient to or controlled by another: his boss's slave. 3. One who is subject to or controlled by a specified influence: a slave to alcohol; a slave to an irrational fear.

So who are the slaves?  Those who are “subservient to or controlled by another . . .”  That is obviously what Ben Shapiro thinks the American people are.  I would suggest that he is wrong about the American people.  But as for himself, and so many others who, for surely no reason of personal gain - surely not - those who would so enslave the rest of us are apparently already slaves themselves in the sense of the third definition:  “One who is subject to or controlled by a specific influence . . . a slave to an irrational fear.”  

Americans must reject the idea that a slave to irrational fear should control and make slaves of us.  Our fears are based on reality, on evidence we have seen and facts presented by experts.  From Dr. Fauci and the proponents of the vaccines we have heard conflicting claims, wild vacillation and the admonition that "Americans need to do as they're told” -  and a list of things the vaccine is not designed to accomplish, such as “herd immunity”.  Our fears are real.  Ben’s fears?  They are based on what turns out to have been information as illegitimate as the 2020 election returns.  Facts don’t care about your feelings, Ben.
