Dorgan supporting Socialized Medicine? Conrad not sure?

From The American Spectator:
The dilemma is simple: moderate Democrats see the need to scale back legislation, but liberals yearn for something bolder. The evolving dynamic is similar to the one that ultimately killed comprehensive immigration reform during the Bush administration when Republicans tried to compromise to win over Democrats, but incurred the wrath of conservatives in the process. The key sticking points on health care involve whether at a time of unprecedented debt, the nation can absorb the massive cost of insuring everybody, and whether Congress should create a new government-run plan, which proponents call the “public option.”
Daily Kos - Kent Conrad, Max Baucus, Ben Nelson, Joe Lieberman and Harry Reid, I'm talking to you. Because we're sick of hearing your lame excuses. We're tired of necessary legislation like health care reform being watered down, sandbagged and sabotaged because you want to cave to the insurance industry. We're sick of your craven cowardice.

Even in North Dakota, lefty democrat at Northdecoder Chad Nodland is irritated as Senator Conrad will not give a straight answer when asked about “public health care option”

“Last week I sent four questions to Senator Conrad specifically relating to the public option…… In my line of work, if I ask someone a question and they give me an answer I feel is "non-responsive," I usually get a chance to ask again until I get an answer to the question I'm asking. Politics and government are a little different, so I find myself getting a little frustrated at times like this.” “As you know, I submitted four questions to Senator Kent Conrad and to Senator Byron Dorgan relating to healthcare reform…… Bam! It sounds like Senator Dorgan is unequivocally on board with the public option. (I figured his answers would roughly what they are, as I had seen Dorgan's interview on MyDD.com). I think that's great.”

DORGAN ON BOARD FOR SOCIALIZED MEDICINE?

Maybe the liberals will be at war with each other over how overwhelmingly cohersive health care will be and it will end up dying on the floor of the U.S. House. They are in a tough position. The more they argue, the more the American people understand what, exactly they are up to. The health plan is in hiding. According to Obama, it must be passed by fall 2009. The less the American people know about what is going to be done the more likely it is to be passed. ASTOUNDING DUPLICITY!
