What will it mean if Republicans win the Senate with Obama as president? Last month Dick Morris published a rather insightful article about what to expect if the Republicans take control of the US Senate in November. In all likelihood they will not acquire 67 votes that would permit them to override Obama’s vetoes. They may not even acquire 60 votes permitting them to cut off filibusters.

But why do human beings, with their particular anatomical configuration, want to use their feet for a task performed infinitely better by the hands?

He killed half his victims with a knife, but the whole focus was on guns. (And he’s widely referred to as a “shooter.” I think he was a slasher.) He was half Asian, but the whole focus was on whites. You could also call it situational attribution: a mixed race person is defined by his minority half when he achieves, as with our first “black” president. But when such an individual is recognized as having committed a crime, he’s suddenly white. This can only make us wonder how long it will be before Barack Obama becomes white.

Book Review of "A Time for Truth" by Os Guinness

The book title certainly begs the question “What is truth?” Guinness answers straightforwardly. After setting the scene in the first two-thirds of the book, he defines truth. “In the Biblical view, truth is that which is ultimately, finally, and absolutely real, or the ‘way it is,’ and therefore is utterly trustworthy and dependable, being grounded and anchored in God’s own reality and truthfulness....Both accuracy and authenticity are important to truth....If in our ordinary speech, telling the truth is ‘telling it like it is,’ we can say that a statement, an idea or a belief is true if what it is about is as it is presented in the statement.”

A Time for Truth: Get it. Read it. Heed it. You will be the wiser for it.

Today, the IRS continues to review the vast majority of these applications. Many groups have simply shuttered because they are at a significant disadvantage for fundraising. But now we know that it is legal to ask about the process the agency is using. It’s okay to expect the Constitution will be upheld when tax-exempt applications are under consideration. The MSM no longer holds a monopoly on the news, but they still exert influence. They no longer operate in a vacuum because the alternative media sees to that. The alternative media does what real journalists used to do.

Meanwhile, the MSM continues to prey upon the sentiments and dispositions of middle-America, especially the news-consuming elderly.

If Americans are being sold a bill of goods, chalk it up to the mainstream media and its low information consumers. What would we expect from a media that gives high precedence to a basketball owner’s racist rants and New Jersey governor’s non-issue “bridgegate” story while ignoring the failures of Obama administration?
