BRAIN TUMOR & SOCIALIZED MEDICINE: DEADLY COMBINATION

Will the Obamcare be the future of the greatest medical system in the world? Will you let Obama and the Democrats do to your health care so that you must deal with life and death by taking a number and getting in line? While nothing is perfect will this health care system envisioned by the leftist reformers “save” money as they claim or turn out like Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, and ALL other government run boondogles? YES! If put in place elections will be about bidding up the level of care. Politicians will curry favor by claiming to provide voters an ever expanding list of medical coverage. It has already happened in every state in America where the Democrats run the legislature and make laws governing the insurance industry in their respective states. The huge numbers being claimed as unsustainable for the proposed health care reform is a fraction of what it will really, ultimately cost. It has never been different when votes can be bought with your tax dollars.

Desperately waiting to die in Canada because that medical system there is so terrible when you have a real big problem, Shona was save at the Mayo Clinic:

Shona Holmes was in trouble: The list of her symptoms included headaches, sleeplessness, dizziness, low libido and, worst of all, rapidly deteriorating vision. Her family doctor in Canada ordered an MRI, and a brain tumor was detected. But it would take months for her to get on the appointment calendar of a neurologist or endocrinologist in Canada. After you have watched this short “commercial” video, make sure that you send it to everyone you know that might someday need medical care.

“I knew in my gut that I had to see someone and could not wait five to six months,” she says. So she called Mayo Clinic and got an appointment the same day.

WITHOUT DELAY!

Within 10 days, Holmes returned to Canada with a confirmed diagnosis — and a growing sense of dread. She needed brain surgery immediately, and the thought of leaving home again was daunting: “Traveling so far from home and being far away from my family was a big deal for me, and then having them go into my brain — this was huge!”

Holmes returned to Mayo Clinic for several weeks of tests, and then got ready for the surgery. This time, her husband, David, was by her side.

By accessing Holmes’ brain through her nose and sinuses, surgeons were able to remove the cyst without a single incision on her face. Holmes was discharged from the hospital four days later, cured of her disease.

Now watch this more extended interview for more of the facts about the real life problems encountered when the government control you and your medical access.

Now, do not mess around. This is important. Do something to stop this insanity the the Democrats are pushing on America.

First priority…..make enough noise to your elected representatives so that the U.S. House legislation is stalled until the late summer break. An additional month for the American people to take a close look at the legislation that the Democrats are trying to ram through before we can examine it will doom this terrible remaking of American society into the socialist prison those people envision.

I was travelling through North Dakota when I heard Mrs. Holmes on the radio.  I feel terrible that she has had to endure these medical procedures.  What I do find outstanding is your level of journalism!  I am from Canada and work within the health field.  This whole story is not the norm.  If a patient is deemed urgent by their family physician in the consult or if the specialist after reviewing the consult sent by the family physician finds the case is urgent then the patient is seen quickly. Also she waited three years for her second operation.  The patient choose to change specialist’s twice for various reasons thereby delaying her treatment! There is way more to this story than is being told.  And even if there was a story – it is one of not many!

To dismiss our health care system as “Desperately waiting to die in Canada because that medical system there is so terrible when you have a real big problem” is the biggest lie.  EVERYONE in Canada receives care.  Can you honestly say the same.  According to the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences, the United States is the “only wealthy, industrialized nation that does not ensure that all citizens have coverage” (i.e. some kind of insurance). The World Health Organization (WHO), in 2000, ranked the U.S. health care system as the highest in cost, first in responsiveness, 37th in overall performance, and 72nd by overall level of health (among 191 member nations included in the study).

We have issues in Canada regarding our health care.  But fight your own battles without bringing Canadians in on it.  After hearing Mrs. Holmes and her plight she is definitely not your normal patient!!!!!

The comment concerning Canada’s system being ok in my opinion is not true.I can vouch for the case of you can die waiting for surgery in Canada.I have had four cases of cancer in my family,Most of the problems have been not checking bad symtoms when they are occurring and getting past off because of the cost(money)and because they(doctors)might get a slap on the wrist if they send people for too many tests.I have had alot of dealings with the system in Canada and doctors who are under it because of many severe illnesses in my family one being lukemia, chordoma tumor, heart tumor and now schwannomma tumor.I have had most of my problems with doctors and the poor techinology going on.If I started to tell my story people would be horrified and not believe any of it,but I have lived in this hell with this system and these doctors that go with it and I can tell you United States is expensive and a terrible burden on the wallet but what’s money if you don’t have your husband or your son or your daughter, money is nothing compared to life down here and some of you who regard it so highly would certainly change your mind if you experienced what I have, money is the only thing Canada’s system has going for it nothing much else to brag about and I can tell you it really depends on how your doctor goes to bat for you, that’s what cuts it.Know that one.I will never forget my GP and her rebel attitude, she didn’t care how much the system slapped her wrist, she did things herself if other specialists didn’t cooperate with her to get help for her patient’s(one incredible GP that’s what my husbands neuosurgeon said),won’t say what I thought of him with his (write off) attitude about my husband, like I said it’s how loud your doctor yells and you too with this broken system in Canada, and by the way my husband lived eleven years because of the United States radical technoligy.Canada’s medical technoligy is archaic. If we had originally gone to the united states he would have been completely disease free for ten years instead of the hell he went through because of the one doctor in Canada who said he had a throw back from monkey’s growth in his head that didn’t evolute into man, then he operated and made a terrible mess of him so other surgeons couldn’t even see what was tissue and what was tumor, lots of other stories concerning my kids too,I could go on because there is so much crap that I went through because of carelessness and mistakes that should never have been made and it all comes down to money(they, the government doesn’t want to put it out but they will put millions into other fruitless stuff that has nothing to do with real life. It’s outragouos how careless doctors are here but they don’t get sued, you can’t sue them they stick together and the system protects them.In united states they get sued blind if they are careless,so money talks if you are putting it out and they are depending on the person they need to save to pay them. This is another flaw that comes with the government system in Canada and how it affects a person.I’m frankly really sick of money and how it controls our lives and government uses that to their gain,it’s all about control down here and the weak and the broke get destroyed we can’t compete, you sure don’t want to get sick down here in either country. In one with it’s archaic tech. you just might not make it and in the other you’ll be really broke,Both situations takes away your quality of life on some level, death is the altimate though it’s the toughest one to endure.
