Is the public becoming addicted to fear? We have to wonder, when people already "vaccinated" still cling to their masks, when they rail against anyone who wishes to avoid the "vaccine", when they panic at news of a "Delta Variant". Fear can be a good thing. It can help us to avoid danger. But when we allow it to steer us without reason, when we abandon rational thought in deference to it we are becoming dysfunctional. Our society seems to be taking this path now. The sensationalism of the initial "pandemic" pronoucement has morphed into a chronic state of dread. I know of people who are withdrawing entirely from society because they are so afraid. We should be afraid of those things, however, which reason tells us are dangerous, which available data warns us away from. But in our currently upside-down world, those who are issuing grave warnings in the interest of public safety and survival are being suppressed, ignored, in some cases ridiculed and even persecuted. Those who don't believe the "vaccines" are safe are losing jobs, friends, income, the pleasures of life and society - they are being at best shunned. Something has to give, and soon.
