A political platform is a formal set of principled goals which are supported by a party and its candidates. As a metaphor, the platform is composed of positions or viewpoints known as “planks” that address topics important to the party. The idea is to appeal to the general public.
The party’s national convention votes on the platform. In a sense, the platform becomes the party’s manifesto. Once adopted, the campaign begins in earnest.
Given the Democrats’ divergent field of presidential candidates, the party can use some platform suggestions. The following suggestions come from comments made by the twenty or so Democrat presidential candidates on the issues gleaned from debates and news interviews.

A pattern emerges in the Democrat platform and should be very obvious – control by the few over the many is best for America. In their view, the individual exists for the good of the state. The only question now is, “Will the many vote away their freedom in 2020?”
