There really is no precedent that matches the blatantly political move by Attorney General Kathleen Kane. Even the lead counsel in the ACLU’s lawsuit against our marriage law called her decision “an earthquake moment.” In a television interview during last year’s primary campaign for attorney general, then-candidate Kane stated, “The attorney general does not have the right to pick and choose which laws he or she enforces.” She said doing so injects politics into the job and, “That’s a dangerous proposition.”

The pattern is clear: again and again, we see the people speaking plainly, while officials waffle and eventually violate their oaths, meddle in the supposedly sacred judicial process, and ultimately place their own will above that of the people.

That said, among the most interesting things Ed Miller wanted people to know were his sentiments about the late, great, embattled, and controversial J. Edgar Hoover. What he told me isn’t the standard Hoover narrative we hear in Hollywood today. Quite the contrary:

Except for the last effort, however, I can’t think of one “triumph” she cites that’s constitutional. And all make stasis seem seductive.

But introducing the emotional, subjective, and pejorative language of “demeaning,” “humiliate,” and “second tier” to issues of judicial review is beneath his dignity as a sitting justice, and merely contributes to what James Davison Hunter calls the “politics of ressentiment.”

In other words, there was never any intention of providing this to the lawyers defending Zimmerman!  The full intention of the prosecutor, Corey, was to continue to withhold this, even if it led to Zimmerman’s conviction and loss of liberty, perhaps for life.

This is not enough to help the rebels win, or even enough to make them believe Christians are good, but it is enough to put us on the wrong side.

But the left is beneath even this. They have served notice that not only won’t they try to get along with Christians, they’ll do everything they can to not get along with them. Obama and his minions have become King Antiochus.

 Jarrett is essentially unknown and accountable only to the president. The Obama's and Jarrett prefer it that way. To the president she is indispensable.

Whenever I go down the road of immigration, I always end up here---immersed in the stories of men and women like my forefathers and our new friends and the folks who have traveled far and given up the security and comforts of home for the possibility of a better life.

Our data suggest two answers to the question, what are the essential elements of parenting? What should be my priorities if I want to raise sons and daughters who will exhibit positive youth development?

. When I was there we ALWAYS stayed in touch with those who came before us – we always figured we could learn from them, even if we disagreed with them from time to time – but apparently the current crowd doesn't do that.

This Congress has been overall a bunch of traitors.  They are supposed to be “Republican controlled”.  They were sent to Washington on a holy mission:  to stop the Obama juggernaut.  So, how have they done?

With a $17 trillion debt as government grows out of control domestically, traditions and time-tested institutions crumbling, and forces around the globe eager to harm American interests, what is reversible and what is not, in coming decades?

"By their fruits ye shall know them." Born in violence, the unions have grown in violence, theft, and corruption. In the middle of the twentieth century, the AFL and CIO merged. By then, their only concern was to divide up the loot and political power.

 Ridicule is most effective when it undermines the political and psychological strength of an adversary. It strips that adversary of their prestige.

It was a war fought by dirt poor Southern white farmers on one side and a lot of German and Irish immigrants filling out the ranks of dirt poor Yankee farmers on the other side. Despite sharing the same race, religion, and history, they slaughtered one another with alacrity. What a different country this might have been if, 400 years ago, someone had suggested, “Let’s pick our own cotton.”

. . . there’s something she doesn’t get: the lawyers’ job isn’t to understand Rachel Jeantel; they aren’t her therapist or minister. It isn’t about her at all. It’s about a man named George Zimmerman, whose life hangs in the balance.

If Coulter and other people involved in the formation of public opinion are to be responsible in their work they must figure this one out before it goes any further. 

This brings us to the myth of diversity. All it can ever be is a liability to, hopefully, be overcome; it can never be the “strength” it’s billed as (without even a shred of evidence in support of the notion).

 “There can be no doubt that the University’s discrimination injures white and Asian applicants who are denied admission because of their race.” In the process, such a racially motivated admission policy “stamps [blacks and Hispanics] with a badge of inferiority. It taints the accomplishments of all those who are admitted as a result of racial discrimination.” Moreover, those minority students who were admitted on the basis of merit cannot be distinguished “from the ones whose race played a role in their admission.” Therefore, their admissions and their achievements are tainted as well.

. . . 2011-13 biennium surplus of $1.7 billion; Defense of Marriage Act; “I plan to turn that around and say we are open, too.” How do you know you are in ND? a draft evaluation of the university presidents; accused of deleting 45,000 emails; Credible answers have been elusive; firing Shirvani was a case of killing the messenger; If someone lacks vision, it’s important for their supervisor to say so; new UND provost, Thomas DiLorenzo; who would be so careless; “Just deserts” may seem a little harsh; Prairie demolition; Canadian border guards seized 16 guns; “Bowtie Guy.” DAKTOIDS . . . .

Unfortunately, today’s liberals/progressives could care less; they are fine with happily embracing any and all violations of Natural Law in pursuit of their own new, enlightened laws. It’s part of that glorious “fundamental transformation” of America.

In so doing, liberals are shattering a rare, precious consensus that they had nurtured with conservatives. There are few things that liberals and conservatives agree upon, but one of them was the crucial importance of children being raised in a home with a dad and a mom.

This is a very clear indication that the Republican Party can no longer stand on its rotted foundation. 

There are consequences to the experiments with traditional values and families that have been going on over the past 60 years -- and they have been ugly, unenlightening, and anything but positive.

I said many years ago that I didn’t use the term “African-American” and that I never would. It is part of the Lexicon of the Left, and, as the old book the Tyranny of Words points out, the side that defines the vocabulary of a debate, wins the debate.

---It is impossible to tabulate all the American businesses that have been hamstrung, crippled, or even forced into closure by the oppressive edicts of federal regulatory agencies. We tend to hear about the large corporations that go broke; their sheer size commands national media attention, but countless thousands of smaller businesses have been crippled or crushed by OSHA, the green brigades of FWS, BLM, and the green queen bee, the EPA.
