DUSTIN GAWRYLOW: NORTH DAKOTA’S SENATORS VOTE AGAINST NORTH DAKOTA’S ENERGY-BASED ECONOMY
Today, out-going Senator Byron Dorgan and Senator Kent Conrad both voted against the Murkowski Amendment, which would have stopped the EPA and the Obama Administration from unilaterally imposing many of the provisions found in the left-wing Cap & Trade ("Cap & Tax") Global Warming Agenda.
One has to wonder just what they our sentors are thinking given the clear danger to North Dakota's economy that any form of Cap & Trade poses.
By voting against this amendment, Senators Conrad and Dorgan have contributed to opening the door for another battle on Cap & Trade, almost exactly a year after the U.S. House passed the agenda.
North Dakota's energy economy will continue to deal with the uncertainty of Federal Energy Policy. Is this "getting things done for North Dakota?"
Clearly Congressman Pomeroy was unable to convince Senators Dorgan and Conrad to say "No" to President Obama (like his ad claims he did).
